Who Are Your Potential Romance Partners?
Throughout the game, Ichiban will interact with six eligible romantic partners. However, to develop a relationship with them, he needs to develop a certain aspect of his Personality.
How To Romance A Character
Each woman responds to a different aspect of Ichiban’s character, and four of them will need to be spoken to when the associated Personality trait hits levels four, seven, and ten, respectively.
To transition to a full romantic relationship with any of them, the respective Personality trait will need to be maxed out at level ten.
To romance one of the four women who are not party members, you need to speak to them several times and bring them gifts when you hit the specific Personality level.
The gifts are bouquets which you can make yourself by growing or buying them, then taking them to the Survive Bar Barkeep to arrange into bouquets.
If you’re willing to splurge, you can buy bouquets from the shop Flowers 2 Go at the waterfront in Yokohama.
Each interaction with one of the non-party members will follow the following steps for romance:
- Speak with the partner once you reach level four in their preferred Personality trait.
- Buy or make bouquets and give them to your partner to increase their bond.
- Speak again once you reach level seven in the preferred Personality trait.
- Gift them their preferred flower to increase their bond.
- Speak with them again once you reach level ten in the preferred Personality trait.
- Gift them more of their favorite plant until the bond maxes out.
Lastly, each woman has a questline connected to them that Ichiban must complete before he can start something romantic.
Party members only need their bond maxed to begin their Romance quests.
How To Romance Saeko
The first female party member who Ichiban meets, Saeko is tough and fiery but lets her guard down around Ichiban and his friends once she realizes that they genuinely care.
She doesn’t require any gifts, but you’ll need to max out her Bond to level 5 by fighting alongside her, talking in Party Chats, and taking her to Seagull Cinema.
Then, you’ll need to complete her Drink Links at the Survive Bar to get closer to her. Once her Bond is maxed out, you need to max out your Style to level ten before you can ask her out.
How To Romance Eri
The second female party member, Eri, starts off as an acquaintance who Ichiban decides to help by managing her ailing business.
You’ll need to complete the Management quest by getting her business to the top of the Share Price ranks.
This will max out her Bond and open her up to a romantic relationship. However, before you can ask her out, Ichiban’s Kindness needs to be level ten.
How To Romance Iroha
Once you get to the Survive Bar, you’ll not only meet the enigmatic Barkeep but also the friendly and talkative hostess, Iroha. She allows you to replay any Party Chats you’ve completed.
She responds to Ichiban’s Charisma and at levels four, seven, and ten, you’ll need to get her one, five, and ten bouquets of roses respectively.
After that, make sure you’ve told her at least 20 Party Chats to be able to ask her out.
You can gather Party Chats around town by going to points of interest like restaurants, bars, and monuments.
How To Romance Sumire
In true RPG fashion, there’s a place you can go to craft and enhance gear called Romance Workshop, which is run by the talented Sumire.
She responds to Ichiban’s Passion at levels four, seven, and ten, and at those levels, you’ll also need to get her one, five, and ten Bonsai trees respectively.
You’ll also need to fully fund her workshop, which will run you over 20,000,000 yen, before asking her out.
The fastest way to earn this is to finish the Management quest, and then repeatedly run that to get Shareholder bonuses of two to three million yen each time you succeed.
How To Romance Miyakoshi
Another one of the longer side-quests involves going to Ounabara Vocational School and signing up for exams with the nice Miyakoshi.
She responds to Ichiban’s Intellect and at levels four, seven, and ten, you’ll need to get her one, five, and ten bouquets of lilies respectively.
You’ll also need to pass all the exams at the vocational school before you can ask her out. Keep in mind that each one will cost 30-50 thousand yen, so save beforehand to avoid wasting money.
How To Romance Ririka
A reference to certain RPGs, Ichiban and his friends can change jobs to give them different abilities by talking to the quiet and hardworking Ririka at Hello Work.
She responds to Ichiban’s Confidence and at levels four, seven, and ten, you’ll need to get her one, five, and ten bouquets of pansies, respectively.
Of all the characters, Ichiban can try the most jobs but will need to level up his physical level as well as different Personality levels to unlock all of them.
He then needs to try each job before he can ask out Ririka. To guarantee the game registers Ichiban trying a job, make sure you Rank Up its level before switching.
