Organized by Tencent, the 2024 Demacia Cup is a tournament played during the off-season featuring 20 teams from the Chinese region.

Demacia Cup 2024 – Format
The tournament comprises a total of 20 teams: the 16 squads from the LPL (Rare Atom disbanded and will no longer be part of the league), the top two teams from the LDL (LPL’s second division), and the two champions from Legend Cup season 1 and 2.
The event is divided into two different stages and lasts for a total of 12 days. The 4 teams that played at the latest Worlds 2024 have gotten a direct pass to the playoffs stage while the other 16 teams will have to qualify through the Group Stage.
Group Stage
The sixteen teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each. Each group will play a single round robin Bo1, with the winner of each group will qualify to the next stage.
Bracket Stage
In this stage, the eight teams will play in a single elimination bracket. Quarterfinals will be Bo3, while semis and the finals will have Bo5 matches.
The big changes for this stage is the introduction of the “Hard Fearless Draft”, meaning that the champion can only be picked once by either team during the series. The winners will lift the Demacia Cup.

The most anticipated match was the one between Top Esports and IG, which recently saw the formation of another super roster for 2025. While most were expecting the latter to win, it was Top Esports with the convincing victory.
Anyone’s Legend will now face Top Esports in the final to determine the best team heading into the 2025 season.
