Grand Theft Auto Online has a variety of cars with unique features. The Rockstar Games has been trying and adding new mechanics to make vehicles stand out a bit, and one such feature is the active aero or active spoiler. For players who don’t know what this is, it is a dynamic feature through which a car, while driving, adjusts its roof spoiler to complement the downforce better.

X80 Proto is a rather unconventional-looking GTA Online vehicle that polarizes players, but its active aero is a standout feature. It has individual flaps that work depending on which way players are going, and the car has different downforce effects while driving left or right. It is all-wheel drive and is decent in a straight line. However, when it comes to handling, the X80 Proto is very disappointing. It can’t turn properly and has some understeer issues. Obey 10F Widebody

Obey 10F Widebody is a widebody version of the normal Obey 10F, and players can take the latter to Benny’s Original Motor Works to upgrade it to the former. Even though the regular 10F also has active aero, it is better to upgrade at Benny’s for several reasons. The Benny’s upgrade makes 10F an all-wheel drive car from a RWD. On top of that, the 10F Widebody has better top speed and more customization options. The active aero of both 10Fs can disappoint some players. Even though it is one of the best-looking and performing vehicles, its spoiler just tilts forward and is nothing too fancy.

Truffade Nero

Price: $1,440,000

Nero is among the small list of vehicles that players can upgrade at Benny’s Original Motor Works. However, the Nero Custom loses active aero; therefore, to keep this feature, players have to avoid upgrading it to the custom variant. Its active spoiler not only rises up but also tilts at breaking, which is very cool. The regular Nero is a solid-performing vehicle thanks to its great top speed and over-the-top handling. It is only available at the Benny’s Original Motor Works website, which to an extent adds to this vehicle being an underrated one.

Grotti Itali RSX

Itali RSX is regarded as the best sports class vehicle in GTA Online. There is nothing in which this vehicle lags. It is among the top 5 fastest vehicles according to the top speed, and it is an all-wheel drive sports car and has quick acceleration.

When it comes to the looks, it is the most beautiful car in GTA Online. Itali RSX has near-perfect handling, only sometimes it can have some hints of understeer which can be easily overlooked. However, in the active aero compartment, it’s similar to the 10F, just a tilt. One of the great things about the Itali RSX is that it has multiple spoiler options, which keep the active aero feature intact.

Ocelot XA-21

Ocelot XA-21 might not be the best-performing car in its category, but it has a very beautiful active aero system in GTA Online. The aero lifts and tilts slightly forward and has a lot of detailing on it. The XA-21 is also regarded as one of the best-sounding cars in the game. Even though it’s a supercar, it has below-average top speed for its category but accelerates well. It also handles pretty well, making it a good free-roam vehicle in GTA Online.

Torero XO is a fan-favorite AWD vehicle in GTA Online. It is the dark horse of the supercar category, even though Benefactor Krieger and Progen Emerus rule the class. It has a higher top speed than both of these vehicles, but its handling pulls it back.

For some reason, neither the active spoiler nor the regular one provides any downforce to the vehicle while driving. It can slide a little some times but can be handled easily after some practice. Torero XO has a slightly different active aero than the regular ones, which rises at an angle rather than simply up-down movement.

Ignus is without a doubt the best-looking Pegassi vehicle in GTA Online​​​​​, and its weaponized version just takes things to a different level. The regular Ignus has a lower top speed for a supercar but the Weaponized Ignus, thanks to the HSW upgrade, is the fastest supercar for the circuit races.

However, the Weaponized Pegassi Ignus is only available on the next-gen consoles. It has an active spoiler functioning similar to the Torero XO but looks much cooler. The regular Ignus also has the same aero but this reigns as the superior version due to performance and offensive capabilities.

Virtue is the best GTA Online car with active aero by a long shot due to its performance and value. Firstly, players get this beautiful electric vehicle absolutely free after completing the First Dose and Last Dose missions of Los Santos Drug Wars DLC. Its active aero is rather straightforward, it just rises up and down and lacks the breaking dynamic.

As for performance, it has a lightning-quick launch, but since it’s an EV, Virtue has average top speed. It is also an Imani tech vehicle and players can also put armor plating on it. So, it is overall the best vehicle with an active spoiler.
