Summary
- Some mobile games discreetly incorporate ads, but classics like Red’s First Flight offer ad-free gameplay, evoking nostalgia.
- Pokemon TCG Pocket allows players to enjoy card collecting without ads.
- Genshin Impact is ad-free, features cross-save functionality, and provides depth akin to full-scale games, offering an immersive experience.
Mobile gaming is full of microtransactions and ads. While some microtransactions stay in the shop where they belong, the most cumbersome mobile games will shove an ad in your face while you’re trying to play. Sometimes they’ll even sneak the ad into the corner of the gameplay, which gives the games themselves less space to look nice.

There is something so nostalgic about the very first Angry Birds game on Apple devices. With a simple story and catchy gameplay mechanics, many birds have been flung across the screen to get back at those pigs for stealing the eggs.
While the game eventually received ads and microtransactions, a more classic version of the game was released under Rovio Classics. This game has also been known as Red’s First Flight and takes you back to simpler times, before all the ads and purchasable power-ups flooded the experience. All you really have to do is fling those birds and have a good time watching the structures fall apart.

Pokemon TCG Pocket
A Pocket Sized Version Of A Competitive Game
Pokemon TCG Pocket is a fantastic reimagining of the classic Pokemon TCG for your phone. With smaller decks, a fresh card pool, and ways to compete against random players or your friends, this is the perfect app to start collecting cards in.
What makes this game even better is that there are no ads to be found. While many other apps will flood you with the usual prompt to skip waiting by watching an ad, Pokemon TCG Pocket doesn’t do this. You can either wait to pull packs or interact with other players through Wonder Pick or Battles to earn tickets you can use to buy items that will skip you to the next chance to open a pack.

Genshin Impact is fantastic because it doesn’t have ads, and feels like a full-scale game. While it will announce events and promotions for in-game events and specials, you won’t have to worry about getting ads from Subway Surfers or Nord VPN.
What makes this mobile game so unique is that it has cross save, due to your data being saved with your account. This means you can take the game on the go with your phone, but also run the same save file on your PC or console to see the game in its full glory. You have plenty of opportunity to make progress and enjoy a mobile game that feels like it has depth.

Fast Like A Fox
A Free And Simple Game For Those Who Miss Them
If you’re looking for a simple game that doesn’t require much brain power to get a kick out of, then Fast Like A Fox checks all the right boxes. There are only two buttons to worry about. Touch one side of the screen to jump and the other to run.

Zenless Zone Zero
A Dystopian Gacha Game
- Released

July 4, 2024
- Publisher(s)

HoYoverse
Zenless Zone Zero is the inverse of a game with too many ads. Instead of having all the ads shoved into the gameplay, the game itself is the one with too many ads on every single platform, especially TikTok.
However, the game itself is pretty solid with a huge roster of characters you can pull from the gacha. Some have incredible melee skills, while others let you attack from afar. The combat also makes you feel like you’re in complete control of the action as you hack and slash your way through the monsters within the Hollow and unleash your ultimate abilities.

Neko Atsume 2 is a chill game where you collect cats by luring them into your backyard. You can do this by leaving out toys, beds, and food. Every cat has different preferences for what items will attract them. Higher quality food will also attract more unique carts.
This is a very casual game to play that revolves around filling up a scrapbook of all the available cats. You’ll even be able to get little snapshots of them interacting with the items you leave out. This is the perfect game for anyone who has dreamed of leaving a little catnip out and watching the neighborhood felines come to nap and play.
