Marvel Rivals Tier List (Best Marvel Rivals Characters, Ranked)

With 33 heroes at launch, Marvel Rivals has many characters to choose from to try and win games. Here are all the heroes ranked best to worst.

This list looks at 7 of the least powerful heroes in Marvel Rivals that are still fun to play, whether they are too difficult to warrant learning or outright underpowered. These heroes may not lend themselves to high-level ranked play in the current meta, but they will be a fun time in casual matches.

7

Peni Parker

Hard To Learn But Fun To Play

Marvel Rivals Peni Parker
  • Vanguard
  • Difficulty: 4 Stars

Peni Parker can be an absolute nightmare to deal with, thanks to her self-healing, stunning, and invisible spider mines. On top of that, her ultimate ability can clear an objective with ease, flinging enemies away and coating everything in mines. Despite this, she still falls behind other Vanguards in terms of impact on the game.

Thanks to a difficult-to-manage kit, Peni can feel overwhelming for newer players to learn, and many players would rather pick a tank with a more directly tank-focused ability set. While all of this may make Peni feel underwhelming, she is still worth playing, as getting her abilities rolling in a game can feel incredible.

6

Magik

Master Magic And Steel

Marvel Rivals new feature is controversial.
  • Duelist
  • Difficulty: 3 Stars

Magik is an awesome character from a visual and conceptual perspective, harnessing the power of Limbo to blink in and out of existence, summon demons, and transform herself into an unstoppable beast. Despite this, she can struggle in games without a cohesive team, as she shines when able to flank an enemy backline, requiring the rest of her team to hold the tanks away from her.

If a player can manage to flank a team and get in close to their healers, Magik can feel incredible, slashing her way through squishier heroes with ease, while buffing her health with each hit. She is well worth a shot, as long as the player can stay away from enemy tanks that might overpower her.

5

Black Widow

Pin-Point Precision

  • Duelist
  • Difficulty: 4 Stars

Black Widow struggles with the same issues that every sniper class or character in gaming does: requiring player accuracy. To make an impact with Black Widow, a player has to be deadly accurate with their shots, and the rest of her abilities do little to accommodate this. She can easily be caught out by a Hawkeye, as he occupies a similar role with less of a downside.

How to Fix Your Aim in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals players who are struggling with their aim in comparison to other games can edit settings to help with this.

Despite all this, if a player does put in the time and effort to get decent at sniping with Black Widow, hitting critical shots is one of the most satisfying experiences in all of Marvel Rivals, and can be incredibly frustrating to play against. Just focus on the enemy healers, and leave the rest of their team panicking.

4

Adam Warlock

Revive Allies And Share Their Damage

  • Strategist
  • Difficulty: 3 Stars

Adam Warlock is a unique healer in the Marvel Rivals roster, given that he can revive allies with his ultimate. Outside of this, however, Adam Warlock can feel incredibly underwhelming. While he can do some impressive healing numbers, the difficulty of pulling this off when compared to other Strategists leaves him feeling weak.

A good Adam Warlock, however, can dominate a game, and there is no cooler feeling than reviving the entire team at the last moment to capture a point and win the game.

3

Storm

Float Above The Battlefield And Shock Enemies

marvel-rivals-storm-2
  • Duelist
  • Difficulty: 3 Stars

Storm is arguably the weakest Duelist in the game. With sluggish movement and average health, she can be endlessly frustrating to play against the slew of other, more powerful Duelists. Many players have taken to writing her off as a weaker Iron Man, and have chosen to leave her behind.

Despite her weaknesses, Storm can be great fun to play in the right lobbies, and her ultimate is a powerful area-denial resource. She is well worth giving a go, even if a player decides never to pick her up again. Just watch out for a flying Wolverine, as he can easily rip Storm from the sky.

2

Loki

God Of Mischief And Healing

Marvel Rivals Loki
  • Strategist
  • Difficulty: 4 Stars

The god of mischief is undeniably fun to play, being able to flood the map with clones, teleport around, output decent damage, and dish out impressive healing. To top it off, his ultimate allowing the player to become a clone of another hero can lead to some incredibly funny moments.

Marvel Rivals: Every Villain In The Game, Ranked

Marvel Rivals currently features 33 characters for players to choose from; here is how the villains of the line-up compare to one another.

Loki does struggle when caught on his own, however, and his healing requires some level of finesse to execute effectively, leaving him feeling outclassed by heroes like Cloak & Dagger and Luna Snow. Despite that, he is well worth playing as there is nothing more vindicating than stealing Jeff The Land Shark’s ultimate and consuming the entire enemy team.

1

Magneto

Harness The Power Of Magnetism

Marvel Rivals Magneto
  • Vanguard
  • Difficulty: 2 Stars

The final hero on this list is Magneto. While not as underpowered as some of the other heroes on this list, he sees much less play than a majority of the other Vanguards in the game. His abilities are relatively easy to learn, and he can deal decent ranged damage, but his main flaws lie in being caught out by close-range Duelists.

While he struggles to 1v1 some of the DPS heroes, Magneto can hold his own, he is just simply outclassed by the likes of Groot and Venom when it comes to functioning as a tank. However, it is hilarious to absorb enemy fire with his ultimate, and send a devastating meteor into their team, and his team-up power with Scarlet Witch makes for some fun moments too.
