Heavensturn, Final Fantasy XIV’s 2024-2025 New Year celebration has been unveiled. Announced across social media on Dec. 25, FFXIV’s Heavensturn event is set to arrive in-game on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, and run until Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025.
During the event, FFXIV players will be able to collect an adorable Great White Tsuchinoko minion, and a pair of indoor furnishing items for their player housing. Here’s all the details:

FFXIV Heavensturn 2025 Announced – Details and Information
From Dec. 31 until Jan. 16, 2025, FFXIV fans will be able to login and head to the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks to start the Heavensturn quest. Just head to X: 11.5, Y: 13.9 and speak to Hebi Bugyo, starting the quest “Heavensssturn Trivia.” Completing this quest series will unlock the Heavensturn seasonal rewards.
This year, these rewards are The Great White Tsuchinoko minion, the Oriental New Year’s Meal Tabletop Furnishing Item, and the Springtide Fan Wall Furnishing Item. These are limited items and will be difficult to obtain after the event has concluded. And as ever, certain items available during previous iterations of the event can be obtained via the Hebi Shonin NPC during the Heavensturn event.

Heavensturn is FFXIV’s fusion of both Western and Eastern traditions of New Year. Taking place over the New Year’s period the event has traditionally leveraged Eastern iconography to create a unique New Year’s event. Running almost every year since the game’s release Heavensturn has missed its 2013 edition, making it one of the game’s longest running and most celebrated events.
