Stardew Valley Player Shows Off Cozy Forest Farm

Summary

  • Stardew Valley offers multiple ways to make money beyond farming, like foraging and mining.
  • Players can choose different farm types to suit their playstyle, like the Forest Farm for foraging.
  • One player recently showed off their cozy Forest Farm.

A Stardew Valley player shares their cozy Forest Farm concept with the rest of the community, using the Rustic Cabin design as its centerpiece. While the core gameplay of Stardew Valley revolves around farming, there are other ways to make money, and players aren’t necessarily boxed into committing to a single path. In addition to growing crops, Stardew Valley also encourages foraging, mining, fishing, and even combat. To that end, players are able to choose the type of farm that best suits their playstyle.

For example, the Meadowlands Farm in Stardew Valley is designed with domesticated animals in mind, while the Four Corners Farm is most suitable for multiplayer. The Forest Farm, as its name implies, places the Farmhouse in the middle of a forest, allowing players to forage mushrooms (depending on the season) or cut down Hardwood

Pets are much more than cosmetic additions to the farm in Stardew Valley, they also bring gifts sometimes, which can be exploited for profit.

This particular map was introduced in Update 1.1, and has served as the baseline for maistardew’s cozy build. Her Forest Farm was shared on the main Stardew Valley subreddit, with a screenshot highlighting the primary area of the map. While the farm features a Rustic Cabin purchased from Robin in Pelican Town, an argument could be made that the Fish Pond and Well are what tie it together. It should be noted that the Rustic Cabin in the screenshot is not upgraded, and that, much like the Farmhouse in Stardew Valley, players can expand each Cabin through three tiers.

Stardew Valley Player Shares Cozy Forest Farm Build

While the Cabin can be built anywhere on the map, Update 1.6 for Stardew Valley also added the option for players to move their Farmhouse. Another curious part of maistardew’s Forest Farm is its Solar Panels, an endgame piece of Refining Equipment that generates one Battery Pack
every seven sunny days. In order to unlock the design, Stardew Valley players must complete Caroline’s “Island Ingredients” Special Order.

It remains to be seen how player housing will work in Haunted Chocolatier, as the game has less of a focus on farming compared to Stardew Valley. With Update 1.6 behind him, Eric Barone is once again focused on developing Haunted Chocolatier, though any concrete news will have to wait. Until then, Stardew Valley players have kept themselves busy with unorthodox playthroughs, chasing Perfection, or even indulging in a plethora of mods from Stardew Valley‘s thriving modding community. While Haunted Chocolatier may be a few years away, Stardew Valley certainly has plenty of content to keep players engaged, whether they’re newcomers or veterans.
