However, that does not make their fan art and collections of Pokemon merchandise any less impressive. Many of these incredible fan projects dedicated to some of the more than a thousand creatures in the series gain numerous upvotes on platforms like Reddit. With so many Pokemon to collect, one fan decided to decorate their house with some of the more fitting for the holiday season.

A talented Pokemon fan designs an incredibly cute pre-evolution for Vulpix, a Fire-type creature that originally appeared in Gen 1.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as FigFoolery shared a picture of their completed Christmas tree. While hanging a Pokemon-themed ornament or two can help get into the holiday spirit, this Reddit user went above and beyond with their decorating. In fact, the gamer’s impressive Christmas tree reached nearly to the ceiling and was chock full of Pokemon-themed items, including plushies, cards, and snowglobes. Some Pokemon hiding among the branches were Psyduck, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. In addition, FigFoolery included some Pokemon from Gen 9, including Fuecoco and Maushold. The Christmas tree was capped off by a Pikachu at the top, which seemed appropriate given its mascot status.

While the Christmas tree might have been the highlight, the room was accented by a couple of Pokemon-themed stockings. One featured Snorlax with a Piplup sticking out, while the other had an image of an Eevee and included a Santa-capped Mew peeking out from the top. Beyond this, the tree’s base was surrounded by large plushies of Eevee and some of its evolutions.

Unsurprisingly, this Pokemon Christmas tree got many Reddit users into the holiday spirit, with the post gaining many upvotes. While fans complimented the decorating choices, some users wondered if FigFoolery had missed the opportunity to use a Staryu as the star on top of the tree. However, FigFoolery revealed that the star behind Pikachu was Staryu.

This Christmas tree is only one of the ways gamers have been celebrating Christmas this year. In addition to festive decor, others have given popular Pokemon new variants for the holidays. Specifically, one fan created six Christmas-themed variants for Bulbasaur, imagining the starter as a gingerbread house, snowglobe, and more. Time will tell what other holiday-themed creations are shared by the community in the coming days.
