Summary

  • A talented Pokemon fan creates a Christmas-inspired Weepinbell design.
  • Weepinbell, a Grass/Poison type, can evolve into Victreebel.
  • Pokemon fans often create themed versions of popular creatures.

A talented Pokemon fan has recently created a Christmas-inspired version of Weepinbell, turning the cute bell-shaped creature into an adorable Christmas decor. The Pokemon community loves to design commemorative versions of popular creatures, and holidays, such as Christmas or Halloween, are often excellent times to see the creativity of the fan base.

Introduced in the first generation of Pokemon games, Weepinbell is a Grass/Poison-type creature that could only be captured in Pokemon Blue and Yellow. Despite being available on Routes 12, 13, 14, and 15 in these games, a Weepinbell could also be obtained by evolving a Bellsprout starting at Level 21. When exposed to a Leaf Stone, Weepinbell can be evolved into the powerful Victreebel, which cannot be found in the wild in any of the mainline Pokemon games. At high levels, these creatures have access to powerful moves such as the Poison-type Poison Jab, and the Grass-type Power Whip.

Pokemon Fan Creates Impressive LEGO Honedge

A Pokemon fan shares an impressive recreation of the Steel/Ghost-type pocket monster Honedge with the community, and it’s made out of LEGO.

Now, a Pokemon fan called meluharegion has devised a Weepinbell variant inspired by classic Christmas decorations. In this new form, Weepinbell was drawn like an actual bell, with a red ribbon and heart-shaped hooks, and looked like the perfect decor for a Christmas tree. In the post’s comments, fellow fans praised meluharegion’s design and came up with several ideas of names for the new critter, such as Jinglebell, Bellend, Cheerinbell, Merrybel, and others.

Christmas-Inspired Weepinbell Pokemon Fan Art

During festive times, Pokemon fans often devise unique themed versions for popular creatures, and this was not the first Christmas-inspired Pokemon to be shared this year. Last month, for example, one fan designed six Christmas-themed makeovers for Bulbasaur. In these new forms, the popular Grass-type monster was depicted as Santa Claus, a snow globe, and traditional Christmas candies.

Last year, another fan created Christmas versions of the Johto starters. At the time, the fan drew a Cyndaquil that looked like a snowman, a Totodile seemingly made out of a gingerbread cookie, and a cute Chikorita that looked like a candle with a wreath around its neck.

Another cute fan art was shared by a fan who designed a Christmas-inspired Umbreon. Inspired by a meme, this fan devised a cat-like Umbreon with objects that would normally appear on a Christmas tree, such as a star on top of its head and Christmas lights attached to its body. Hopefully, other talented fans will continue to come up with seasonal-inspired Pokemon fan art, sharing their amazing creativity with fellow fans.
