As has become tradition by now, Pockepair has just launched a smaller Palworld patch hot on the heels of its latest major release. This new 0.4.12 update became available to download on PC and the PlayStation 5 on December 26. This patch fixes a Palworld bug causing Pals to get stuck on oil rigs, in addition to eliminating an issue making Bjorn and Bastagor staggered whenever attacked.
Palworld Update 0.4.12 Fixes Several Issues With Pal Summoning
The 0.4.12 patch also tweaks the new Palworld raid introduced in the previous update. Specifically, the original version of the Xenolord [Lvl 60] raid was way more difficult than it was originally planned to be, Pocketpair’s latest changelog states, adding that this issue has now been eliminated. The latest version of the game also addresses some problems related to Pal summoning. One of them is a bug that prevented players from summoning a Pal if there was already another Pal summoned. The other one caused summoned Pals not to perform lumbering work correctly.
Pocketpair’s latest changelog also reveals that the December 26 update slightly reworks the way Pals perform cooling work in Palworld. Specifically, the patch resolves a bug that occasionally led to cooling work producing too many animations and effects, which would consequently tank the player’s frame rate. Several causes of game crashes have also been eliminated as part of the new update, in addition to a number of unspecified “minor” bugs. The 0.4.12 Palworld update is not yet available on Xbox consoles, as Pocketpair is still certifying it with Microsoft. A representative of the Japanese developer stated that the new patch will roll out to Xbox console owners as soon as the certification process is complete, without elaborating on when exactly that might happen. Historically, the updates for the Palworld Xbox port were typically only a few days behind their PC counterparts.
Palworld has averaged over two patches per month since debuting in early access in January 2024. Although most of those releases were bug-fixing updates rather than major content drops, this track record still indicates that it won’t be long before Pocketpair puts out yet another patch for its hit survival crafting game.
