Monopoly GO players aren’t happy about the ongoing Gingerbread Gala event, which requires players to land on corners for three days in order to score enough points for rewards. Gingerbread Gala is the latest Monopoly GO event during the Jingle Joy album season, which is themed after the holiday season.
On December 5, Monopoly GO introduced the Jingle Joy album, giving players the opportunity to earn festive rewards by collecting sticker sets during the holidays. The Monopoly GO Jingle Joy album lasts until January 16, so players only have a number of weeks left to complete all sticker sets and claim their rewards. Despite the season’s shortened duration, Monopoly GO has hosted several holiday-themed events and mini-games thus far, including Mistletoe Magic and House of Sweets. The latest event, Gingerbread Gala, began on December 26 to extend the holiday festivities after Christmas. Gingerbread Gala lets players earn event points and reach milestones by rolling the dice and landing on the Go, Free Parking, In Jail, and Go to Jail corner squares. Although the event’s objective is straightforward, Monopoly GO players aren’t pleased with needing to land on corners to earn the rewards they want.

Reddit users in the Monopoly GO community are already frustrated with the Gingerbread Gala event due to unlucky dice rolls and the event being monotonous for the next three days. Monopoly GO Players are Frustrated With The 3-Day Gingerbread Gala Event
- The Gingerbread Gala event is being held until December 29 in Monopoly GO.
- For the next three days, players can earn points in Gingerbread Gala by landing on Go, Free Parking, In Jail, and Go to Jail corner spaces only.
The Monopoly GO Reddit community’s response to Gingerbread Gala appears to be mostly negative so far, with some players thinking about skipping the event in order to save their dice rolls for a future event. Dice rolls can take hours to regenerate after being completely spent on the Gingerbread Gala event, so it’s possible to have progression halted for quite some time. Money can be spent on more dice rolls in Monopoly GO, but this adds to the frustration that strictly free-to-play players have with the event at the moment.
Those lucky enough to land on corners with a multiplier will meet milestones and earn rewards faster while saving on dice rolls. These rewards include Gingerbread Partners tokens, more dice rolls, and Five-Star Purple Sticker Packs. A total of 50 Monopoly GO Gingerbread Gala milestones are available to complete by December 29 before the next event begins.
