  • Marvel Rivals Season 1 is anticipated to bring new content and potential new heroes in January.

Marvel Rivals players have started to complain about Galacta, pointing out that her voice lines are annoying to hear in the game. While there are a lot of reasons players have been jumping into Marvel Rivals matches, it appears that Galacta is not one of them.

Marvel Rivals is currently in Season 0: Doom’s Rise, and player numbers across platforms like Steam have been very positive. While the 6v6 hero shooter had the challenge of standing out against rival games like Overwatch 2, it appears NetEase Games has found the recipe for success so far. However, despite impressive concurrent player counts, the game is not without issues, as some fans recently pointed out.

Marvel Rivals players are getting sick of Galacta, the in-game narrator. The game’s community recently aired their grievances in the comments of a Reddit post shared by a user known as Irish-Jackson. While the original post focused on the potential of adding announcer packs to the game, others revealed why they wanted this feature to be included. Specifically, players said they were tired of Galacta, pointing out that her voice lines became hard to listen to while playing the game. “Galacta’s lines are so tilting that I actually get annoyed by the ‘you win’ voiceline so yes please, any other option would be nice,” one Reddit user said.

Marvel Rivals Players Want Alternatives to Galacta

Even though Galacta is not part of the playable roster in Marvel Rivals, she plays a significant part in the game due to her role as narrator. As a result of this, players will hear the character often comment on the action taking place in matches. It is worth pointing out that there is an option to turn off the announcer volume for Marvel Rivals. By navigating to the Audio section in the Settings menu, players can turn down in-game voice volume. However, this might not be optimal for some players since it silences all other characters in a match as well. Instead, many fans would rather hear a different character announce matches.

With the Reddit post from Irish-Jackson gaining 5.2K upvotes already, many fans seem to be on board with the idea of new Marvel Rivals announcers as options to replace Galacta. Unfortunately, NetEase Games has not revealed any potential announcer options so far. Nevertheless, there is always the chance the developer could hear player feedback and introduce the feature in the coming seasons.

While players will have to wait and see if characters like Nick Furry or Jarvis ever become announcer packs, Marvel Rivals Season 1 is expected in January, potentially bringing lots of new content. In addition, leakers have already been teasing new potential Marvel Rivals heroes who could come to the game in the future. Hopefully, NetEase Games can continue to update the game to deliver what the fan base wants.
