Developer PaperGames has pushed out a steady stream of updates for its open-world experience Infinity Nikki ever since it came out earlier this month. A recent patch added Companion’s Day, a pet-themed event that is set to conclude on December 29. More information regarding Infinity Nikki‘s next update has been unveiled to the public.

The official social media accounts of Infinity Nikki have shared teasers for version 1.1. Shooting Star Season, which goes live on December 30. Among these was a video that showed what appeared to be bright stars streaking across the sky of Florawish, the picturesque town that acts as a major hub area in the title. The other teaser, meanwhile, was a photo that featured the game’s titular main protagonist visiting a version of the fountain area located near Infinity Nikki‘s Dream Warehouse dungeon that has been decorated with flowers, garlands, and ribbons.

Also mentioned in the teasers was the Wish Festival, which is where “heartfelt melodies drift through the air” and “brilliant wishes, bathed in starlight, blossom across the radiant sky,” according to the posts. Wishes are an important recurring element of Infinity Nikki‘s world, with many denizens in the title’s setting of Wishfield even worshiping a dead god named The Wishing One. According to the description of the Wishful Aurosa set in Infinity Nikki, the miracles of wishes continue to illuminate lives even in the absence of The Wishing One.

Many players expect Infinity Nikki’s next update to introduce new content. The recent Companion’s Day update added the eponymous event, alongside several fresh outfits. Two of these sets, the Dreamy Glimmer and Froggy Fashion collections, can only be obtained through Infinity Nikki‘s limited gacha banners that end on December 29. Aside from adding new content, Shooting Star Season is expected to feature free rewards. Players can claim five Revelation Crystals and 340 Shining Particles just by logging in for a week throughout the Companion’s Day event.

The Infinity Nikki development team has been providing a lot of freebies to compensate for inconveniences like server maintenance and bugs. Players were recently sent 100 Diamonds via the mail system because of issues that popped up following the launch of the Companion’s Day Event.
