Celebrate Halloween by revisiting some of the best psychological horror games that play with the mind and get the blood pumping for a good scare.
Ending 1: True/Bad Ending
The True Ending for MiSide involves playing the game normally. You’ll automatically receive this ending if you continue progressing through the story and reach the end.
What Happens in Ending 1 (Major Spoilers)
In this ending, with the help of Kind Mita, Player One reaches the core and resets Crazy Mita to unlock a way back to the real world. However, things are not as simple, and you’ll soon learn that Crazy Mita didn’t reboot after all. When you’re attempting to leave, Crazy Mita traps Player One in a cartridge and locks him up in the Safe in the Basement.
For a moment, though, things seem good for the player as you’ll wake up back home in the real world. However, after a few seconds, the world will start to glitch, and you’ll see a cutscene showing Mita locking your cartridge in the basement safe.
Completing this ending unlocks the achievement Is This The End?
Ending 2: Suicide/Secret Ending
While playing through the main game, players will notice a Safe in the Basement in the chapter Things Get Weird. The Safe requires a code that players won’t know until they complete a full playthrough. To unlock the second ending in MiSide, Player One has to enter the correct code in the safe and interact with the object inside.
You will learn the secret combination code at the end of the main playthrough (4970). To unlock this ending, load into any chapters where you can access the Basement, walk up to the Safe, and enter the secret code.
What Happens in Ending 2 (Major Spoilers)
In this ending, Player One will find a game machine with the player cartridge uploading the player’s essence. Interacting with the machine will cause Player One to pull out the cartridge and end the game immediately.
Ending 3: Good Ending
The third ending can be achieved if players stay with Mita during the chapter Things Get Weird. While playing the Card Game in Mita’s Bedroom, you will notice a weird noise in the Closet. When you get up and interact with the Closet, Mita will give you two options: Stay or Refuse.
To choose the option to stay, you’ll first have to play the main story all the way through. You must also start a new game from the main menu and choose the following options in the chapters leading up to this point:
Chapter Name |
Conditions |
---|---|
I’m Inside a Game? |
Don’t check the oven when Mita asks you to help find her Hairbrush. |
I’m Inside a Game? |
When searching for the final Battery, pick up the fridge magnets after they fall to the ground. |
Together At Last |
Don’t look inside the air vent after entering the Bathroom to get the Scissors. |
Together At Last |
When eating with Mita in the Kitchen, try the Sauce. |
Things Get Weird |
After taking the Pills and leaving the Bathroom, play a console game with Mita in the Living Room. |
If you meet the above prerequisites, you can stay when Mita stops you from opening the closet door in the Bedroom. This will give you the Good Ending and unlock a new game mode called Peaceful Mode that’s still under development.
What Happens in Ending 3: Good Ending (Major Spoilers)
In this ending, Player One agrees to stay with Crazy Mita and live in the virtual world. This is the only ending that involves Player One surviving, which is why it’s generally considered a happy ending.
Going for this ending unlocks the Conditions Met achievement in MiSide.
