How To Get Rough Sapphire
While Gems like Amber have moved locations in past updates, Sapphire has remained put. Sapphire can be found exclusively in Frostland Caves, calling for players to raise their cold resistance with Inner-Fire Charms or Spicy Burgers before exploring them.
Once inside a Frostland Cave, players should look out for blue Sapphire nodes. To get Rough Sapphire, players simply need to harvest these nodes with a Pickaxe of Epic rarity or higher. Once destroyed, a Sapphire node will drop several Rough Sapphires for players to add to their inventory.
How To Get Cut Sapphire
Once players have gotten hold of Rough Sapphire, it can be used to create Cut Sapphire via the Gem Cutter. Using the Gem Cutter, players can simply select the Cut Sapphire recipe and add their desired amount of Rough Sapphire to be converted. One unit of Rough Sapphire creates a single Cut Sapphire, making it easy for players to gauge how much they need to farm to fulfill a particular recipe.

What Are Cut Sapphires Used For?
Cut Sapphire is a crafting resource primarily used to craft tools and weapons of Epic rarity. Sapphire weapons can be crafted via a Crafting Bench by placing Cut Sapphire into the blade/head/stock portion of the crafting recipe. Cut Sapphire can also be used to craft other Gem Tools like Shields, Muskets/Flint-Knocks, along with being used to craft an Epic Cool-Headed Charm.
Cut Sapphire is a great resource for players looking to upgrade their arsenal of weapons, as Sapphire weapons themselves boast three Rune Slots as opposed to the standard one or two. Other than that, Sapphire weapons boast no other benefits over other Gem tools, as their stats are relatively similar to Ruby items, and rank below Amber in durability and Emerald in knockback.
