LEGO Fortnite Odyssey is a wild adventure, whisking Fortnite players to a whole other world where they can build and craft anything they desire. From the cold regions of the Frostlands to the fantastical Lost Isles, there is a lot for players to uncover in this sandbox experience. However, there are also a lot of threats, calling for players to get their hands on powerful weapons and gear.
The world of LEGO Fortnite Odyssey is a tough one, and if players want to survive, they may very well need to collect Gems to improve their weapon rarities. While Rubies are a rather lucrative resource, perhaps Emeralds may be more to a player’s liking. Here is how to get Emeralds in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey.

Cursed Bones are a valuable resource in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. Here is how to get them.
How To Get Rough Emeralds
While in previous updates players had to explore Desert Caves to get their hands on Rough Emerald, Emeralds now exclusively reside on the Lost Isles. Emeralds can be found on Floating Islands and can also be located in Lost Isle Grottos.
Neither location requires players to raise their heat resistance to enter, making them a great place to head to for early-game gems. However, these locations may have players facing either a Golem or a Brute, so players should still be cautious when exploring either one.
When exploring either location, players should keep an eye out for green Emerald nodes, which are fairly prevalent in both areas. To get Rough Emerald, players simply need to harvest Emerald nodes with a Pickaxe of Rare rarity or higher. Breaking these nodes will yield plenty of Rough Emeralds, ready for players to take back to their Village to convert to Cut Emeralds.

How To Get Cut Emeralds
Once players have gotten their hands on Rough Emeralds, they can convert them into Cut Emeralds via the Gem Cutter. With a Gem Cutter built, players can simply interact with it and select the Cut Emerald recipe via its interface. One Rough Emerald is needed to craft one Cut Emerald, making it relatively easy for players to gauge how much they’ll need to harvest to fulfill a particular recipe.
What Are Cut Emeralds Used For?
Cut Emeralds are a crafting recipe primarily used to make Epic rarity weapons via the Crafting Bench. If players apply Cut Emeralds to the blade/head/stock of their desired weapon or tool via the Crafting Bench, they can bag themselves an Epic rarity version of that very weapon. Cut Emeralds are also used for Gem Shields and Gem Flint-Knock/Muskets, each of which are also Epic rarity weapons and tools.
In terms of usefulness, Cut Emeralds are an excellent way for players looking to get their hands on upgraded gear. Tools made with Cut Emeralds have the same durability as those crafted with Cut Ruby, but boast better knockback at the cost of less speed. However, Amber weapons rank higher when it comes to durability alone.
