Genshin Impact has officially revealed the complete kit for the upcoming Pyro Archon, Mavuika, who is scheduled to arrive in Version 5.3. Mavuika is one of three new playable units debuting in this Genshin Impact update, alongside the famous fortune-teller Citlali and a four-star unit named Lan Yan.
Overall, Genshin Impact Archons are typically the most popular characters, along with the Harbingers, as they are the focal point of each new story arc. While HoYoverse usually introduces Archons two updates after the release of a new major region, Mavuika’s addition has been delayed by one update.

HoYoverse’s new Character Skill Showcase has revealed the complete skill description for Genshin Impact‘s upcoming Pyro Archon, Mavuika. She has been described as a flexible character who can switch between dealing damage on and off the battlefield. According to the post, Mavuika’s Normal Attacks allow her to perform four consecutive claymore strikes. Her Elemental Skill, The Named Moment, has both a tap and hold variation, both of which enable her to enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. Tapping the skill creates a field effect called Ring of Searing, which periodically attacks nearby enemies even if Mavuika leaves the field.
Genshin Impact 5.3: Mavuika Kit Explained
Holding Mavuika’s Elemental Skill deploys the Flamestrider, a powerful Pyro-infused motorcycle. This transforms her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, making them deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro damage that cannot be overridden. While in this state, Mavuika’s sprint becomes faster and she deals Pyro damage along her path. The motorcycle is highly versatile, functioning on almost any terrain, even allowing her to glide through the air in Genshin Impact.
Most of Mavuika’s power lies in her Elemental Burst, Hour of Burning Skies. Activating this ability causes her to re-enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. She uses the Flamestrider to unleash large amounts of AoE Pyro damage. While her burst is active, many of her actions do not consume Nightsoul Points. Unlike most Genshin Impact characters who rely on energy particles to fuel their bursts, Mavuika’s burst uses a unique resource called Fighting Spirit.
Fighting Spirit can be replenished when nearby party members consume Nightsoul Points or hit an enemy with a Normal Attack. Despite the Skill Showcase describing her as a flexible character, many fans disagree, especially when compared to previously released Archons. Players have expressed concerns that a significant part of her kit revolves around teammates benefiting from the Nightsoul Blessing, a mechanic exclusive to Natlan characters in Genshin Impact.
