Halo fan and popular YouTuber Nick Brick (who you may know for their Lego Ray Gun and Super Shotgun) has built a life-sized, custom chrome plated M6D Magnum from the FPS that kickstarted one of the genre’s most beloved series, Halo: Combat Evolved.

“In May 2023, I built a Lego Halo CE magnum that captures the graphics of the time — hard edges instead of cylindrical features, things like that. Now, in December 2024, I replaced all the exterior light gray pieces on the gun with custom chrome parts from Chrome Block City, resulting in this more fingerprint prone and harder to photograph version of the build!”
It might be harder to photograph, but it was well worth the hassle given how stunning it turned out to be, perfectly matching its video game counterpart. You can see it shown off in a few different angles below.
The Iconic M6D Was Nearly Much Weaker
The M6D Magnum is one of Halo’s most iconic weapons thanks to how much punch each shot packs, taking down enemies in three hits even when shielded. But its infamous wallop was a surprising, last minute change made by Bungie co-founder Jason Jones.
He explained in an interview with IGN back in 2013 that the pistol “wasn’t where we wanted it to be” in the runup to launch, and so he altered the code to “change a single number” whenever a new map was loaded, making it deal significantly more damage.
It was so overpowered that it was replaced in the sequel with the equivalent BR55 battle rifle, with its only appearance in the game being on the map Tombstone as an easter egg. And now, all these years later, it’s in the hands of a talented Lego Masters winner in all its bricky glory.
