Which Persona Entry Has The Most Social Links In The Series?

Playing through the Persona games isn’t all about dungeon delving and collecting different Personas for you to wield in battle. A fundamental aspect of the games, required to achieve various endings, are your social connections — or your social links.

Persona 4 allows players to sit back and enjoy the series’ slice of life aspects. Here are the romances you can pursue, ranked.

Originally introduced with Persona 3, socialization and interacting with your friends and the larger community became an important part of the game. If you want a good ending, you better hop to it and get busy making friends. Of course, that doesn’t make it easy, especially when there are a lot of social links to interact with and split your time between.

Beating out Persona 3 Reload (22 Social Links) and Persona 5 (21 Confidants), Persona 4 Golden has 23 different Social Links that you can obtain and build on.

Most of Persona 4 Golden’s Social Links require you to interact with a specific person or group (some of which are required to advance the story, like the Investigation Team), but there are two that are interchangeable.

For the Strength and the Sun Social Links, you can decide which person you want to forge your bond with. You can pick either Kou Ichijo (Basketball Club) or Daisuke Nagase (Soccer Club) for the Strength Social Link. For the Sun Social Link, you can pick either Yumi Ozawa (Drama Club) or Ayane Matsunaga (Band Club).

There’s really not much difference between these two types of links, aside from the name. Both require you to forge social bonds and both utilize different Arcana to symbolize that bond. The biggest difference is that they’re from different games (P5 introduced Confidants).
