Every legendary Pokemon featured on a Pokemon TCG card deserves a special place in their debut generation. Even though Lunala can’t compete with the popularity of Pokemon like Mew, it still boasts a solid handful of valuable chase cards. Lunala rarely appears alone, as this Pokemon is inseparable from its sun-themed twin: Solgaleo.

Pokemon TCG: The 8 Most Valuable Cards Released in 2024
2024’s best Pokemon cards are setting new highs.
While Lunala’s time in the Pokemon TCG has been relatively short compared to some of the most beloved legendary and mythical Pokemon, it received a solid lineup of valuable cards in its debut Sun & Moon generation. While Lunala’s best cards are primarily from Cosmic Eclipse, this Pokemon managed to pack plenty of valuable chase cards into one set.
Cards are ordered according to their TCGPlayer Market Price, the average price you might pay for a copy of the cards below.
5
Solgaleo & Lunala GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Ultra Rare) – $10.46
The Start Of Something Special
Lunala’s most valuable cards begins with a pattern we’ll see plenty of throughout this list: Lunala teaming up with a friend. While this card remains a long shot to make the list of the most valuable cards in Cosmic Eclipse for some time, its art stands out as one of the best in the set.
While this Lunala card typically fluctuates on either side of the ten dollar mark, it’s been seeing strong support that took it from $8.50 to its current market price. While this form might only be temporary, this card stands out as one of the more unique iterations of Lunala in Cosmic Eclipse, with some of the more valuable options featuring similar artwork.
4
Lunala GX: Ultra Prism (Secret Rare) – $33.10
An Unfortunate Gold Standard
While there’s no denying that this Lunala chase card is one of its most expensive, the visual appeal is hard to argue in favor of, unless you’re a huge fan of gold. This style is typical of some of the most valuable cards in Ultra Prism, but the balance between the subject and the background feels off.
Although 2024 saw this card drop below the $30 mark for a brief period, Lunala rallied to its current market price, and seems intent on breaking through previous highs. A look at the one-year chart shows clear momentum and growth, despite the divisive nature of this card’s art style.
3
Lunala: League & Championship Cards (Holo Rare) – $40.00
Time To Play The Game
If you don’t play the Pokemon TCG and prefer to just collect the cards, the Pokemon Company is making it hard to keep your hands out of the competitive scene, as certain cards, like the Lunala here, were exclusively offered as a reward to participants in the PLAY! Pokemon league and championship tournaments.

Return to the Kanto region and find the most valuable cards in Scarlet & Violet: 151.
This card’s rarity easily surpasses any other Lunala card on this list, as there are no listings available, and only a single sale at the market price. While this card might pop up for sale at a moment’s notice, its overall exclusivity makes it a difficult grail to find, unless you were able to earn one yourself by competing at the appropriate Pokemon TCG events.
2
Solgaleo & Lunala GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Secret Rare) – $60.22
A Friendship Rainbow
We return to the land of teamwork, as the terrific trio makes their return on yet another Lunala chase card. Lillie is joined by both Solgaleo and Lunala in this Secret Rare, which, despite some details that get lost, looks much more visually vibrant than the Ultra Prism all-gold recolor.
After a tame first half of 2024, this Solgaleo & Lunala Tag Team card shot up from the mid-50s in the $60 range, but struggled to distance itself from that landmark plateau, falling back down to earth. Despite the strong pullback after storming past $60, the fact that there is still supporting sales around the market price marks this card’s intention to continue growing.
1
Solgaleo & Lunala GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Full Art) – $139.70
Original Perfection
Lunala shares the same peak as Solgaleo’s most valuable card, as they reunite with Lillie for one last hurrah in Cosmic Eclipse. While the prior Lunala and Solgaleo card features the exact same scene, this version lets their original color palettes shine through, which is undoubtedly the best version of this artwork.
This card dipped toward the $115 mark in 2024, but rebounded with an impressive run to its current market price. Crossing the $125 mark without looking back was a huge statement from Lunala’s best card, and it gives a strong indication that this card will remain among the most expensive Lunala chase cards for years to come.
