Fans Are Worried About The Story’s Conclusion
Ao Ashi fans have been stressed by the update because they think it affects the manga’s ending. In the last few years, fans disliking a manga’s ending has been a common occurrence.
Sometimes it is because the conclusion is not what they envisioned, and two characters who had very little chemistry ended up together. It is hard, but fans must remember that mangaka put a lot of thought into coming up with a conclusion. Even a rushed conclusion is sometimes beyond their control.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Ao Ashi also posted Yūgo Kobayashi’s statement regarding the conclusion. In his message, Yūgo Kobayashi thanked the fans for their unwavering support over the years. He confirmed that the story will reach its finale when the Barcelona match is wrapped up.
When Ashito joined the A-team in volume 11, the following opponents were Kashiwa, Tokyo V, Funabashi, Aomori, and Barcelona, all of which were already decided at that time (I was just wondering whether to include the Ganon-Osaka match or not), and I think I will be able to finish this story, which has progressed along with the growth of Ashito, with everything fully depicted. — Yūgo Kobayashi
The author reiterated that Ao Ashi will conclude with volume 40.
I will do my best to put all my enthusiasm into the next two volumes, so please stick with me until the end. It is thanks to you, the readers, that AO ASHI has grown so much.
