The long-awaited Void Hunter Hoshimi Miyabi has finally joined Zenless Zone Zero‘s cast of playable agents as of Version 1.4, and her addition is shaking up the meta with a new anomaly type. While on the surface Miyabi’s Frost anomaly bears a striking resemblance to Zenless Zone Zero‘s standard Ice attribute, this new element comes with its own unique benefits that help it stand out. With the benefits offered by Miyabi’s Frost-based kit synergizing with the other members of the Section 6 faction, it’s clear to see why this agent has earned the designation of Void Hunter.
An agent’s attribute is a crucial component to consider when building a team in Zenless Zone Zero since players are going to want to prioritize inflicting anomaly buildup on the enemy with the goal of achieving disorder. Disorder occurs when two different anomaly types have been inflicted upon an enemy, dealing bonus damage and dazing them temporarily. The unique nature of Miyabi’s Frost anomaly allows it to reap the benefits of both the standard Ice anomaly and its own while making Miyabi a flexible addition to any Zenless Zone Zero team.

Hoshimi Miyabi’s Frost Anomaly Offers Some Major Advantages Over the Ice Anomaly
Frost Gains All the Benefits of Ice While Building Disorder Alongside It
The Ice anomaly in Zenless Zone Zero is able to inflict three different statuses upon an enemy:
- Freeze: Renders the enemy immobile and unable to attack for a brief period
- Shatter: Deals Ice damage and interrupts an enemy’s movement when Freeze ends
- Frostbite: Allows agents to deal more Crit damage to affected enemies while the effect lasts
Miyabi’s Frost anomaly has the ability to inflict all of these same conditions on an enemy while also building disorder alongside other Ice agents due to it being classified as a separate attribute. This unique status makes Miyabi a fantastic agent for creating synergy with other Ice agents since the Frost attribute is considered the same as Ice by certain agent skills while having a separate anomaly buildup multiplier.

Since Frost receives the same benefits as the Ice attribute, pairing Miyabi with teammates who also benefit from having other Ice agents in the party is a great strategy. Typically, Zenless Zone Zero players would want to have at least one agent with a different attribute in the party in order to inflict disorder when their anomalies build up. However, because Frost’s anomaly multiplier is different from the standard Ice anomaly, Miyabi can pair well with an agent like Soukaku who can activate her passive due to being from the same faction.
Miyabi’s Skills Are Unique to the Frost Anomaly
Where Frost largely differs from the typical Ice anomaly is in its interaction with the skills unique to Miyabi’s kit. Her Core Passive, Searing Cold, allows Miyabi to inflict Icefire, a status condition unique to her kit that increases the rate of Frost anomaly buildup on enemies suffering from it. This combination of skills makes Miyabi well-suited for quickly building one anomaly type so that another agent on her team can build another and inflict disorder as quickly as possible.
The other important effect of Miyabi’s Searing Cold Core Passive is that when she inflicts Frostbite on enemies afflicted with Icefire, it activates Frostrburn – Break, dealing additional Frost damage based on Miyabi’s attack stat and forcing the target to enter the Frostburn state. Within this state, all anomaly buildup inflicted upon the enemy is increased, meaning other agents can reap the benefits of Miyabi’s skill. With this Core Passive being the cornerstone of her kit, Miyabi’s Frost anomaly goes beyond what standard Ice agents are capable of and turns her into one of the most effective Anomaly agents in Zenless Zone Zero.
