Genshin Impact Fans Aren’t Happy About Mavuika and Citlali Decision
Genshin Impact fans are dissatisfied with the recent Special Program announcement about the upcoming character releases in update 5.3.
While signature weapons are not typically regarded as essential, they can significantly enhance the on-field potential of their respective characters. HoYoverse has confirmed that Mavuika will be a claymore user, making her the first Archon to wield this weapon type. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that Mavuika’s signature claymore will have a special glowing animation, likely triggered by activating some of its passive effects. Although fans appreciate this interactive detail, many have noted that it may not be very noticeable when used with Mavuika in Genshin Impact, since her claymore barely appears in her main combos, as most of her damage comes from her motorcycle-based attacks.
Genshin Impact: Mavuika’s Signature Weapon Explained
Credible leakers have revealed that Mavuika’s signature weapon will be named A Thousand Blazing Suns, providing Crit Rate as its secondary stat, making it a strong option for many DPS units in Genshin Impact. Its passive ability will grant an effect called Scorching Brilliance, which activates upon using an Elemental Skill or Burst. This passive effect will provide significant ATK and CRIT DMG buffs for six seconds.
If the weapon holder is in the Nightsoul Blessing state, these buffs will be increased by 75%, and the duration will only count down while the character is on the field. This mechanic allows players to rotate party members freely without worrying about the effect expiring. However, since the Nightsoul system is exclusive to Genshin Impact‘s Natlan characters, the weapon’s versatility may be somewhat limited.
Despite these flexibility concerns, many players are likely to pursue this weapon, as Mavuika has been one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact since her initial reveal during the early Natlan teasers. HoYoverse has confirmed that both Mavuika and Citlali will be part of the first banner cycle of Genshin Impact Version 5.3, scheduled for release on January 1.
