Developer Gameloft recently released a roadmap detailing what’s coming to life simulator Disney Dreamlight Valley during the first half of 2025. The game will add new Disney characters, new Realms to visit, and many new quests to complete. However, Disney Dreamlight Valley fans did notice that two characters who appeared in the very first trailers for the game will still not be moving to the Valley, at least not during the first part of 2025.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2025 Roadmap Explained
The roadmap for the first half of 2025 includes three planned free content updates. The first will add Aladdin and Jasmine from Disney’s Aladdin. They are the second and third characters from the film to appear, after Jafar served as the primary antagonist of the “A Rift in Time” expansion.
The second update will add a new Realm based on the film Alice in Wonderland. Presumably, Alice herself will be added as a Villager. Although it is unclear whether other Wonderland characters will accompany her, potential Villagers from the film include the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, or the Queen of Hearts.
Finally, the third update will resolve a long-standing mystery: who is trapped inside Skull Rock. This mystery was posed shortly after the game’s release but currently remains unanswered. Due to hints dropped both in-game and by Gameloft, the Rock’s prisoner is primarily theorized to be the title character from Peter Pan, although Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, Wendy, or even Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean are options.
Cinderella And Wreck-It Ralph Are Still Missing
The roadmap features two notable omissions, both characters who can be seen in Dreamlight Valley’s original trailer: Cinderella and Wreck-it Ralph from the films of the same names. Their lack of appearance is notable as 2024 saw the long-awaited addition of two other characters from the first trailer: Timon and Pumbaa of The Lion King.
Ralph Could Join His Friend Vanellope
Both Cinderella and Ralph already have characters from their films appearing in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Vanellope von Schweetz, Ralph’s best friend, introduced the DreamSnaps Photography when she was added, and later kicked off the Multiplayer Valley Visit function. Her in-game dialogue frequently mentions Ralph and how excited she is to have her friend eventually join her. Ralph’s inclusion would be particularly fun as Disney Dreamlight Valley recently added floating islands, enhancing the player’s ability to furnish and decorate their Valley. Ralph’s wrecking skills would be a huge help when moving or tearing down unwanted buildings.
Cinderella Could Continue The Classic Princess Trend
While dozens of Disney and Pixar characters have joined Dreamlight Valley, there has so far been little focus on the classic princesses. Belle from Beauty and the Beast was added in 2023, but Cinderella, Snow White, and several others are still absent. 2025 looks poised to rectify this, with Jasmine confirmed to join up and the “Storybook Vale” expansion hinting at the addition of Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora in its Part 2 update. Cinderella, should she be added, could continue this trend. She would also be able to join an old friend – the Fairy Godmother, who resides in the Valley, helping Merlin handle the various magical mishaps that occur.
2025 is likely to be a packed year for Disney Dreamlight Valley, with at least three updates confirmed in addition to Part 2 of “The Storybook Vale,” which is a paid expansion. Adding in Cinderella and Ralph, who have been promised since the game’s launch, and who many fans have been looking forward to for years, would make 2025 an even more fun and exciting year for the magical life simulation game.
