The Dexerto Twitter account recently shared a Battlefield 1 video from a user named Joueur_Bizarre. The clip begins with the player shooting multiple enemies on Battlefield 1‘s St. Quentin Scar map from an airplane gunner seat. The gamer defeats one enemy and damages multiple others, but they eject from the airplane as the pilot ascends out of range. As they fall toward the ground, a prompt tells the player to return to the combat area in nine seconds. Perhaps understanding the urgency, the pilot quickly turns to collect the soldier, who gets back into the gunner’s seat in midair. Had this airplane not returned for the skydiving soldier, they may have been forced to respawn somewhere less advantageous.

Joueur_Bizarre’s clip was captured on St. Quentin Scar near Baker’s Meadow, above the Monastery at the B Conquest point. One response to the video pointed out the incredible cinematic detail of the game even by today’s standards, while another complimented the pilot for the impressive save. Many gamers have praised this video as one of the many Battlefield moments that the series is built on. These memorable sequences played a role in 2042 ‘s advertising, as Battlefield Portal was meant to re-capture that magic from classic titles. Given the unique setting of Battlefield 1, the game regularly reaches over 15,000 peak players on Steam and continues to be played on other platforms.
As Battlefield 1 received its last update in October, the game client may be completed beyond necessary upkeep. Despite no new content being dropped in the game, clips like this may draw lapsed players back to it.
