Fortnite has loads of skins, too many to cycle in and out of the shop every week. However, some skins end up being gone for much longer than others, like the Fortnite Master Chief skin. This skin is finally going to be making a return in Chapter 6.
Lately, Epic’s been bringing back tons of old skins that we haven’t seen in a while. Earlier this month we got Renegade Raider back, one of the rarest skins in the game. Master Chief hasn’t quite made that rarest skins list so far, but having been missing for over 900 days it’s definitely been harder to find.
The Halo protagonist was first added back in Chapter 2, but for some reason, it hasn’t been back in quite a while. According to Fortnite leakers, that’ll be changing tonight when the item shop refreshes. What are expecting from when the Fortnite Master Chief skin returns?
Master Chief Fortnite Skin Coming back
According to leaks, Fortnite is getting a rarely seen skin back this week. Along with getting the Cyberpunk collab that’s been rumoured for a while, we’ll also be getting another gaming skin. Master Chief is due to return. He’s been gone from the item shop for 934 days at this point. A collab skin that was approaching the ‘never coming back’ stage.
Master Chief was initially added in December 2020, sticking around for most of the month. We got him back the year after, in March and August, along with September and the summer after. Then he went missing. Master Chief hasn’t been seen in the Fortnite item shop ever since.
Tonight, he’ll be back in the shop. We don’t entirely know why it’s been such a long time. It could be done to the rights agreement with Microsoft, possibly with their own live service Halo game getting in the way. However, it could equally just be Epic not feeling like featuring him for a while.
