Another day, another military document allegedly leaked on the War Thunder forums.
As reported by the UK Defence Journal, one user was warned against sharing classified documents on the forums by its moderators, who are no doubt exhausted by this point, but did so anyway.
The documents in question were posted amidst an argument about the CAPTOR radar, with the user sharing alleged details about the Eurofighter Typhoon’s systems to prove their point.
They were immediately banned, and the documents removed. Just like with the Challenger 2 tank, Leclerc main battle tank, the AH-64D Longbow Apache, the Chinese ammunition systems… At this point, you know what’s gonna happen the second you hit post, surely.
In what reads like a tired substitute teacher’s plea to an overly boisterous class, the community manager asked forum users to please stop posting classified military documents.
“I will take this as an opportunity to again remind everyone here, please do not, under any circumstances, try to post, share any sources unless you are 100 percent certain they are legally declassified and publicly safe for use.
“We will never handle or use them, and all it does is actively harm any possible future changes being possible by trying to use them. Do not do it. No good will ever come from it for you or the vehicle you are trying to post for.”
It’s a plea that will no doubt fall on deaf ears, going by the sheer number of times that this has happened now.
