But fans who are wary of original stories should not worry: it will be written by the author, Yoshifumi Tozuka.
Undead Unluck at Jump Festa 2025
During the Jump Festa panel, they will likely drop a full trailer for the special and, announce the release date and platforms — so far, it’s unconfirmed if this will be in theaters or if it will be broadcast on TV and/or streaming platforms.
They could confirm an international release and talk more about the plot. We can expect it to take place in-between the battle against the “Autumn UMA” and the one against “Winter”. The Unlucky Girl and the Guy Who Wants to Die
In Undead Unluck, an incident takes place 10 years prior to the story, killing hundreds of people, including Fuuko Izumo’s parents. Izumo has since then isolated herself for having an “unluck ability”, bringing bad luck to those around her. But, as a regular teenager, she longs for romance. One day, she meets “Andy” (at least that’s how she starts calling him), a man who really wishes to die. He tried to do it in several different ways, but he is an “undead”. Andy decides to hang around with her to see if her unluckiness can bring him some real death. Then an organization, the Union, starts chasing them.
The series has been serialized in Shonen Jump since 2020, and has been compiled into 23 volumes so far. VIZ Media publishes it in the US, and the latest chapters can be read for free on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump services.
