Cat lovers everywhere now have a must-have PC accessory for their holiday wishlist. The new Dry Studio Petbrick 65 isn’t just a keyboard for your gaming PC, but it’s also the world’s “first fluffy custom mechanical keyboard” according to its manufacturer, and it’s one of the most unique peripherals that I’ve ever seen.

When you look at the best gaming keyboards out there, you’ll typically see a variety of different switch mechanisms and color schemes, but you probably won’t see a full-on, feline-style fluffy cover. Ignore the floof, however, and the Petbrick 65 is a mechanical keyboard with an aluminum cover and a 65% form factor, the same as a Corsair K65 Plus Wireless, but with a very different style in mind.

On paper, this isn’t just a gimmick – there are some reasonable specs in this cat-themed device. The mechanical keyboard features a “patented Leaf-Spring mount” that includes two layers of sound-dampening foam, a custom crystal pink key switch, and an IXPE 8 key switch pad. There’s also built in RGB lighting which you can control using AM Master software.

Connectivity is decent, too, with the ability to connect using wired USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz, supported by a built-in 5000mAh battery. The main appeal, however, is the outer shell, which features a fluffy, pet-able cover that surrounds the keyboard that Dry Studio suggests has a plush texture “similar to Jellycat toys.”

This one-of-a-kind mechanical gaming keyboard isn’t shipping just yet, but you can place your pre-order from the Dry Studio website using this link. There are two colorways available, with the Calico theme offering a brown, white, and black combination, while the Odd-eye theme is much darker, with black, blue, and yellow fur and keys. Dry Studio is also planning further colors, with pink, green, and gray options shown online.

At $239, however, this isn’t a budget keyboard – it’s $40 more than the current retail price for the Razer Huntsman V2, a top spec, full-size alternative. However, this isn’t a keyboard you’d necessarily pick up for the specs alone. It’s specifically designed with cat lovers in mind, or for those who just want to embrace the fluffy vibe for their next PC build. If that’s the case, then it’s arguably priceless.
