Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya – Psylocke
Take Advantage Of The High Ground
This map is all about securing the high ground. With its abundance of elevated positions and tight chokepoints, enemies often end up huddled together, making them vulnerable to attacks from the backline.
This makes Psylocke the perfect pick for the map. Her Psychic Stealth and Psi-Blade Dash abilities allow her to navigate to high vantage points effortlessly. From there, she can unleash a deadly barrage with her Shurikens and Crossbow. And if an enemy gets too close, her trusty Psionic Katana ensures they won’t last long in close-quarters combat.

Tokyo 2099: Spider Islands – Iron Man
Fly Around And Rain Fire From Above
Spider Islands is a dream come true for players who love duelists who specialize in AoE damage. This map is packed with narrow areas, creating lots of bottlenecks. But what sets this map apart is its open design from above, making it ideal for heroes who can take to the skies.

There is a fun collection of maps in Marvel Rivals for gamers to play on. Here’s how they rank up next to one another.
This is where Iron Man comes in. Not only can he fly around almost indefinitely, but he also has some amazing AoE attacks, particularly his Micro-Missile Barrage and Invincible Pulse Cannon. This map is the perfect battleground for him, as he can fly in and out of chokepoints and deliver consistent, high-impact damage from above.

Yggsard: Yggdrasil Path – Hel
The Perfect Map To Utilize Hela’s Projectile Damage
Yggdrasil Path is tailor-made for duelists who excel in projectile damage. While this map features a few tight chokepoints, most of it is open, offering clear lines of sight that are perfect for sharpshooters. However, as a convoy map, players tend to cluster together, making them prime targets for AoE ultimate attacks.
This is why Hela shines on this map. She can consistently land projectile attacks thanks to the open layout and lines of sight. And with her ultimate, Goddess of Death, she can perform squadwipes to get control of the convoy.

Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface – Winter Soldier
A Well-Rounded Hero For A Balanced Map
Symbiotic Surface is arguably the most balanced map in Marvel Rivals. Its unique layout caters to both long-range sharpshooters and close-combat brawlers. It has clear lines of sight that can be used to attack from afar, while also having plenty of walls, boxes, and other obstacles that allow duelists to close the gap.
This versatility makes Winter Soldier the clear choice for this map. His kit is well-balanced, offering both precise ranged attacks and hard-hitting melee options. He performs even better when paired with Rocket Raccoon, as their team-up ability grants him infinite ammo and an increased fire-rate. To top it all off, his ultimate is incredible, practically guaranteeing a squadwipe with the right timing.

Yggsard: Royal Palace – Hawkeye/Star-Lord/Iron Fist
Can’t Stick With One Duelist In The Royal Palace
Since the Royal Palace is a Domination map with three distinct areas, it’s impossible to crown a single duelist as the best choice. Each area of the map has its own unique layout, favoring different duelists who can capitalize on its specific design.
In the Bifrost Garden, Hawkeye should be every player’s first choice. The map is mostly open, which works in favor of characters with flight abilities. However, this also makes it a sniper’s paradise, as there’s no issue with lines of sight. Therefore, Hawkeye is the clear winner, as he’s the best ranged duelist in the game.

Marvel Rivals: 6 Fastest Ways To Level Up
Looking to level up fast in Marvel Rivals? Here are some top tips for doing just that.
The Throne Room, on the other hand, is quite enclosed, but it does have some elevated spots. Star-Lord is a great pick for this area. He can take advantage of the high ground to deal damage from afar, and then swoop down to unleash his Blaster Barrage on grouped-up enemies. Lastly, with his ultimate, he can hover over the area and mow down the entire opposition.
Finally, Odin’s Archive is all about map control. Since it has some tight chokepoints, Iron Fist performs extremely well. Once players gain map control, Iron Fist can keep the enemies at bay with his incredible melee attacks and fast movement. However, strong support is required for Iron Fist to stay alive and maintain control of the area.

Intergalactic Empire Of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia – Spider-Man
A Perfect Playground For Spider-Man
Hall of Djalia prioritizes agility and speed. Both the attacking and defending teams need duelists who can reach the Mission area fast to maintain control. And with multiple pathways leading to the objective, there are lots of places for battles to occur. On a map like this, Spider-Man performs excellently. With his swinging, he can make his way in and out of the Mission area, giving him a significant mobility advantage over his opponents.
Furthermore, since the Mission area has an open sky above, players can utilize Spider-Man’s swinging abilities while defending it, making it difficult for the enemy team to land even a single hit on him. The only downside to this character is that he has a steep learning curve, but in the hands of a player who has mastered his mechanics, Spider-Man can be a menace on this map.
2
Hell’s Heaven: Hydra Charteris Base – Black Panther
The Intergalactic King’s Best Map
While many duelists perform well on the Hydra Charteris Base map, Black Panther is arguably the best among them. This map has three sections: Eldritch Monument, Super Soldier Factory, and Frozen Airfield. The first two are compact with few clear lines of sight, making them ideal for a melee-focused character like Black Panther. With his abilities, he can close the gap and tear through enemies with ease, making him a dominant force in these tight spaces.

The Frozen Airfield section is a bit different from the other two, as it is more open, but it’s still compact enough for Black Panther to hold his own. Pairing him with a ranged duelist like Hawkeye or Iron Man is an even better strategy, as it ensures the team can handle both close-quarters and long-range threats.

Intergalactic Empire Of Wakanda: Birnin T’Challa – The Punisher/Moon Knight
The Deadliest Duelist Pair
The Domination map, Birnin T’Challa, is split up into three areas. The first one, the Institute of Science, is the simplest. It’s a large, open room with a high ceiling and minimal chokepoints. Because of its open nature, The Punisher works very well. His Vantage Connection ability (the zipline) reaches every corner of the map, allowing him to zoom around and use his shotgun and automatic rifle to massacre his enemies. And since the room is enclosed, his ultimate attack, Final Judgement, can take out the entire enemy team in one fell swoop.
The next area, Stellar Spaceport, continues to favor The Punisher. Here, he can use his Culling Turret to take control of the chokepoints leading to the capture area. Once inside, he can zip around and prevent enemies from reclaiming control.
The third and final area, Warrior Falls, is Moon Knight’s domain. The area has two very tight chokepoints on either side. With Moon Knight, the player can put down Ankhs near them, preventing the enemies from entering the capture area. From there, the player can bounce Moon Knight’s Crescent Darts between the enemies and the Ankhs, demolishing multiple enemies at once and keeping control of the capture area.
