Star Rail Version 3.0 Leak and Rumor That's Still Unaccounted For

Honkai: Star Rail is gearing up for another major update that’s coming this January, which will see Trailblazer and the gang in Amphoreus. Known as the “Eternal Land,” the fourth planet is virtually unknown to people and fettered by three dominant Aeon Paths. Honkai: Star Rail has also shown glimpses of Amphoreus’ main city and the characters that the Astral Express Crew will meet in the next few months.

Just like previous updates, Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 will roll out several new features and updates. Some were already revealed during the Version 2.7 Special Program stream, like the 5-star banner characters, The Herta and Aglaea, and the new Path of Remembrance’s summon mechanic. However, there are still a number of leaks and rumors that Honkai: Star Rail has yet to confirm.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Rumors That Are Still Up in the Air

Amphoreus’ Time-Bending Mechanic

Apart from Amphoreus likely being a Greek-inspired planet, initial rumors stated that it might have a time-bending mechanic. It’s still unclear how it fits into the world and the story, but it might be incorporated either into overworld exploration or combat.

Remembrance Trailblazer

It’s been heavily rumored that Trailblazer’s next form will be an Ice-type Remembrance character, and will allegedly have a Memosprite named “Mimi.” Leaker Shiroha reported that Remembrance Trailblazer’s kit is said to attack with Mimi’s help, similar to Topaz and Numby’s synergy in battle, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Memosprite Functions

Memosprites are the allied summons of Remembrance characters, and leaks have suggested that they’ll have a separate ability menu, similar to a Persona. It’s been shown that Memosprites are similar to Numby and Lightning Lord in the sense that their actions can be advanced by support characters like Sunday, but their actual in-game functions are still unconfirmed.

“Dark” March 7th

After getting an alternate 4-star The Hunt form, March 7th is rumored to get a new form in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0. Known among leakers as “Dark March 7th,” this new form will reportedly be a Remembrance-type as March 7th is said to have her own Memosprite. Considering that she’s the only protagonist who doesn’t have a 5-star form yet, many fans are hoping that this would be it.

New Battle Pass Rewards

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 will reportedly introduce new Battle Pass rewards, Wishful Resin and Variable Dice, which are said to be game-changers, especially for F2P players. These items were already teased in the Version 2.7 Special Program stream, but players with access to the free and paid battle passes will reportedly get a chance to farm them in the next update, which could greatly help them in optimizing Relics and Planar sets.

  • Wishful Resin: Can be used with the Self-Modeling Resin to craft Relics with selected main stats and up to two chosen sub-stats.
  • Variable Dice: Used to redistribute a Relic’s stat upgrades.

Treasure Compass

Many Honkai: Star Rail players spend a lot of time finding chests around maps, and some of them are hard to find in certain locations, like Penacony’s confusing Dreamscape. Version 3.0 might make it easier for players soon with a rumored new Treasure Compass item, which could be used to mark the location of unclaimed treasure chests. If the leak is reliable, the compass could be bought in various in-game stores located at the Herta Space Station, Jarilo-VI, and Xianzhou Luofu. Plus, it could be very useful to find all 50 chests that are allegedly hidden around Amphoreus.

Free 4-Star Character

Prominent leaker HomDGCat teased that players might once again get a free 4-star character in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0. They shared an envelope named “Fateful Crossings: Mysterious Labyrinth,” which could be used to choose between Guinaifen, Hanya, Tingyun, and Hook. It’s still unclear how players can obtain this item — it might either be an event reward or a special reward upon the release of Version 3.0.

  • Guinaifen: Fire, Path of Nihility
  • Hanya: Physical, Path of Harmony
  • Tingyun: Lightning, Path of Harmony
  • Hook: Fire, Path of Destruction
