- Season 2 will delve into Miyo’s unique abilities and her relationship with Kyoka’s parents.
- Netflix streams the show simultaneously with Japanese broadcast, showing investment in the series.
My Happy Marriage is one of the biggest shoujo hits in recent years. Few series are able to get such widespread fame, and it might be even harder for those who don’t try to blend shoujo with battle action like Sailor Moon does. But sometimes a simple Cinderella-like premise is enough to win hearts.
That’s not the only thing My Happy Marriage is about, but seeing how Miyo and Kyoka’s relationship develops as he discovers how her family has been treating her. This anime has become such a hit last year that it’s surely one of the most awaited anime romances for 2025.

Winter 2025 Preview: My Happy Marriage Season 2
Miyo and Kiyoka are back in season 2 of My Happy Marriage, with new obstacles coming their way including meeting Kiyoka’s parents.
Now, a few weeks before the premiere, a video featuring the ending theme and the ending sequence for the new episodes was officially released in a clean, credit-less version! The new theme is “Tsukikage Okuri” (something like “Moonlight Sending”), performed by Kashitaro Ito. Check it out:
Where to Watch the Anime Series
The new season is slated to debut on January 6, 2025, and will be streaming on Netflix simultaneously to the Japanese broadcast, as happened in the first season (and likely to debut subbed and dubbed episodes at the same time once again).
Besides the first season, Netflix also recently added an extra episode, that is tagged on the service as “episode 13”, but is actually a special OVA released with the novel 8th volume. It is rare for Netflix to stream OVAs, so this is a sign of how much involvement (and possibly investment) the streaming service has with this adaptation.
What to Expect from the Second Season
The new season is likely to focus on Miyo’s dream-sight abilities, and we will also be seeing her trying to build a stronger bond with Kyoka’s parents, especially with his mother, with whom she will have to learn how to deal in order not fall into the same role she was back at her family’s house, where she was treated mostly as a servant (or maybe worse than a servant).
Since her abilities are unique and basically all families with magical powers might be interested in getting their hands on such a convenient power, we will also likely see Kyoka having to protect her from danger.
