How to Earn Katara Mei Skin in Overwatch 2 Season 14
In Overwatch 2, the Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover collaboration event began on December 17, 2024, and will remain available for players to enjoy until December 30, 2024. This means that players have just thirteen days total to purchase featured skins from the shop, enjoy the event, and earn related rewards.
Luckily for those who are eager to earn the Mei skin, this skin can be claimed simply by completing event challenges. Upon navigating to the Avatar: The Last Airbender challenge section from the main menu, you will be able to view the following challenge:

Waterbending Master: Complete 7 Avatar: The Last Airbender challenges
- Rewards: Waterbending Mei emote, Katara Mei skin
By successfully completing 7 different ATLA challenges in Overwatch 2, Mei’s Katara skin will be automatically unlocked and added to her Hero Gallery, where players can then equip the cosmetic. Many of the ATLA challenges only require players to complete a certain number of games, with wins granting double progress, so at the very least, simply continuing to play matches will help you progress toward unlocking the skin.
However, you can also focus on completing some of the Four Nation weapon charm challenges, as these focus on specific skills. For example, you can complete one of them by mitigating damage, which is great for Tank players. Another Four Nations weapon charm challenge involves dealing damage with weapons or abilities, which is an easy one for DPS players to secure. Finally, there are also challenges revolving around outputting a certain amount of healing and assists, which is great for Supports.
