Genshin Impact Exercise Surging Storm event introduced in the Version 5.2 Update. The Event is an exciting strategy-based wargame where you help the Knights of Favonius analyze battle tactics. By completing challenges, you can earn rewards like Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Character Talent Materials, and more. This guide covers how to unlock the Event, gameplay mechanics, release dates, and rewards.

The event will take place from the 18th of December 2024 08:00 UTC till the 30th of December, 2024 1:59 UTC. Players with Adventure Rank 20 or above and completing the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, Song of the Dragon, and Freedom.

Here’s how you can dominate the wargame in three phases: Preparation, Combat, and Finalization

Phase 1: Preparation

Select Stratagems: Stratagems give your team special buffs and can turn the tide of battle. You’ll draw a Stratagem in Rounds 1, 3, 5, and 7. These can boost your Combat Units’ levels or trigger powerful effects like shockwaves.

Select Combat Units: Choose the right team for your battles. Units come in three classes:

• Normal: Basic units with lower strength.
• Elite: Stronger units with higher initial levels.
• Apex: The strongest units available.

Set Up Lineups: Arrange your team to counter your opponent’s lineup. Check the enemy’s Combat Units and order of deployment to adjust your strategy.

Phase 2: Combat

• Automatic Battles: The combat happens automatically after you set up your lineup. Units will enter the battlefield in order, and both sides will fight until the round ends.
• Rank Up Units: Combine two units of the same rank to create a higher-ranked unit (up to Rank 3). Higher ranks mean stronger Combat Units, so prioritize fusing units when possible.

Phase 3: Finalization

After the results of each round, you’ll move on to the next. The wargame ends when you complete all 10 rounds or lose 4 rounds.

• Build Synergy: Choose Stratagems and Combat Units that work well together. The more your lineup complements each other, the stronger your team becomes.
• Know the Enemy: Before each round, analyze the enemy’s lineup to adjust your own. Deploy units with counter advantages to gain the upper hand.
• Plan Your Stratagems: Use Stratagems strategically in tougher rounds to maximize their impact.
• Be Careful with Losses: You can only lose up to 4 rounds before the wargame ends, so plan carefully and try to avoid unnecessary risks.
