A Genshin Impact chart has revealed the amount of free Primogems that players will be able to obtain in the upcoming Version 5.3. Primogems are widely regarded as the most popular currency in Genshin Impact since they are used to purchase Intertwined and Acquaint Fates.
Intertwined Fates are much more popular as they are used to pull on the highly sought-after Limited Character Banner, compared to Acquaint Fates, which are used on the Standard Character Banner. Genshin Impact has confirmed that the upcoming update will feature two new five-star additions to its roster.

Even though players purchasing Intertwined Fates is Genshin Impact‘s main source of revenue, the game still offers plenty of free Primogems, which can be acquired in various ways, from using promotional codes to completing Daily Commissions. Genshin Impact‘s recently held Special Program for Version 5.3 revealed a number of different events that will allow players to gain an additional influx of Primogems. According to a chart posted on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, Travelers will be able to collect around 15,545 free Primogems in the next update, equivalent to 97 wishes. This guarantees a five-star drop, considering that Genshin Impact‘s highest-rarity characters have a 90-wish pity.
Genshin Impact 5.3: Mavuika and Citlali Release Date
Many fans praise HoYoverse’s approach to giving away free Primogems, which could help players acquire one of the two new characters, Mavuika and Citlali, both confirmed to arrive in Genshin Impact update 5.3. However, some players have expressed concerns about the fact that both characters are scheduled to appear during the first banner phase. On the one hand, this means players will have the opportunity to obtain them sooner, but it also means they will have less time to accumulate more Primogems. The new update is expected to arrive around January 1.
A lot of players were surprised by HoYoverse’s decision to feature Mavuika and Citlali in the same banner phase, given that they usually spread new character releases across both parts of an update. It would not be surprising if many players have already gathered enough resources to acquire both characters, as a significant portion of the player base has been saving Primogems for Mavuika since she was officially introduced in one of the Genshin Impact‘s first Natlan teasers.
As an Archon, Mavuika plays a major role in the current Genshin Impact Archon Quest. When it comes to her power on the field, Mavuika is expected to be significantly different from the previously released Archons. Unlike her predecessors, who are known for their flexibility, Mavuika’s playstyle will be much more specialized. To fully utilize her damage potential, players will need to build teams featuring more characters from the Natlan region.
