The Arena War update for Grand Theft Auto Online was released on December 11, 2018, and provided players with 13 diabolically destructive vehicles. GTA Online’s best vehicles came from the Arena War update, so players with the cash to splash, might want to discover which is the best Arena War vehicle to buy so they can cause as much chaos as possible in public lobbies, against NPCs, or even to compete in the Arena War itself.

Arena War vehicles are not cheap, and their upgrades and different styles from Apocalypse, Future Shock, and Nightmare, provide unique and intimidating looks to cars that certainly don’t seem street legal. The best Arena War vehicles range in price, and players are going to have to set aside a few million dollars if they want to grab the best upgrades and cosmetic changes available to them.

How Expensive Are Arena War Vehicle Upgrades?

Arena War Vehicles can be a pretty costly endeavor, but they are a lot of fun. Not only will players have to buy the vehicle, which ranges for a few hundred thousand and a few million dollars, but they will also to have to pay for the conversion rate that only applies to those who have purchased an Arena War Garage in the first place that costs $995,000 in itself, and that can shoot way up to $4,365,000 if players grab all the upgrades to the Arena Workshop.

As for the vehicle upgrades themselves, players are going to need to splash some cash on the usual suspects, which will set players back a total of $237,900 per vehicle just for the basic upgrades:

RC Bandito

Top Speed: 60 MPH

The RC Bandito isn’t going to win players races, but it is going to provide them with a barrel of laughs. The RC Bandito is a literal RC car, and there are no repercussions for it being blown up, due to the fact that there is no driver inside, and the player is invulnerable whilst using the RC Bandito. The RC Bandito is bulletproof and can withstand around 3 RPG hits. On top of that, upgrading the RC Bandito can allow players to jump and explode, providing a remote-controlled C4 on wheels.

Rat-Truck

For those who enjoy a classic, the Rat-Truck might scratch the itch of the 1930s, especially with its pickup truck design. Visuals aside, the Rat-Truck doesn’t offer much improvement over other lower-tier Arena War vehicles, and this muscle car can definitely be kept off the track for its superiors.

Glendale

Whilst the Glendale can be upgraded for a costly sum to create a diabolical monster, it’s also one of the few Arena War vehicles that simply isn’t worth it. The Glendale has decent speed, but it can’t tank rocket shots, and the acceleration and handling make for a poor vehicle when compared to the potential of other Arena War vehicles that don’t have the appearance of a ’90s Sedan.

Slamvan

Head back to the 1950s with the Slamvan, a perfect choice for Lowriders and bikers. The detail of the Slamvan might be nice and chunky, but it doesn’t aid in the performance. The Slamvan is often clunky and hard to steer and control, and upgrades would be far too expensive.

If the world is to end, and Los Santos descends into chaos, the Brutus is a vehicle players will want to keep themselves safe. The Brutus can tank 4 hits from Oppressor and jet missiles, allowing those inside to stay alive just a little longer. On top of that, it’s the perfect weaponized off-road vehicle for those seeking war in a wasteland, but it’s still a tad pricey.

Players won’t find satisfaction in acceleration or turning corners with the Scarab, but they will find themselves squashing the competition in the actual Arena War or in an apocalypse setting where the driver is king. The Scarab is a military vehicle with treads, and its rocket boost allows for a large surge of speed that aids its performance, but players are still looking at a hefty sum just to afford something inferior to others.

Whilst the Issi Classic isn’t going to win out against stronger and more intimidating vehicles, it can still be a fun drive, even if that comes at a steep price. The Issi Classic is also a good vehicle to own for its potential with car duping, as it’s an expensive sell.

A hardy muscle car is complimented by the wasteland, especially if one ventures deep into Blaine County. The Impaler is all-natural, and a beauty to behold, especially if players customize further Arena War upgrades, like a cowcatcher for the front, and armored windows to allow them to smash through the competition. With great acceleration and handling for a muscle car, the Impaler will have players going to deadly places.

Gargoyle

Whilst it may be basic in design, it can be upgraded and fitted with all sorts of gimmicks and goodies, allowing players to have saw blades, Gatling guns, and an armored plate on the hood to make the driver ready for war. Yet, as a motorcycle, the sides are constantly exposed, and it’s pretty easy to get thrown off.

As one of the cheaper armored weaponized muscle cars in the Arena War update, the Imperator deserves credit as a cheaper and faster vehicle than most. The top speed is immense, and the acceleration allows players to hit that speed pretty quickly. It’s the perfect vehicle for cruising the badlands, and something all Mad Max fans will want to add to their garage.

If players have ever wanted to drive the powerful War Rig of Furiosa, then the Cerberus is definitely for them. The modifications allow Cerberus to excel as a death machine, and players can squash other cars, making them explode with a gentle touch, especially when speeding up with the boost attachment. The Cerberus is intimidating in size, and whilst it may be heavy to navigate, it makes up for it with its destructive capabilities.

To those who can afford it, the ZR380 should be a must-have. This vehicle brings the supercars of a Cyberpunk dystopia into Los Santos’ modern day, providing a vehicle with purpose. It’s a powerful drive, allowing players to reach intensely high speeds, all whilst absorbing the explosive fire from jets and missiles. The design alone is worth the price, and the performance just heightens the choice of wealth.
