Complete Guide To The Sims 4

The Sims 4 was initially released just for Windows PC in September 2014, with a Mac version for OS X following in February 2015. There was an initial delay for console releases, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions not hitting shelves until November 2017.

Unlike previous releases, The Sims 4 is not a completely different game across platforms. However, while the core gameplay is the same, there are some differences between the two. The following features are not supported on the console versions of the game:

Yes! The Sims 4 base game is completely free for all platforms. You will have free access to the core game, as well as all base game updates.

You can find The Sims 4 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store respectively, while the PC and Mac versions are available through the EA App.

If you prefer, you can also find the Windows Version of the game, along with DLC, on Steam, and Epic Games Store. However, you will need an Origin/EA account to log into the game and play.
