Doctor Strange

The Best Ability Synergy With The Punisher

  • Easy to master, extremely versatile.
  • Portal can help the Punisher shoot from a safe location and let him aim at incredible angles.

Few hero combinations in Marvel Rivals are as strong as Doctor Strange and the Punisher. They can wipe out an entire enemy team and clear target areas in a matter of seconds using the combination of Culling Turret and Pentagram of Farallah. First, Dr. Strange opens a portal in front of the Punisher, then opens the other end of the portal right above the heads of the enemy team.

Next, the Punisher plants his Culling Turret in front of the Portal and enjoys shooting the rival team, who will look like sitting ducks and wonder what hit them. The best part is that this perfect combo can be used from the safety of the base, so the Punisher and Strange don’t need to even move from the spawn zone (or any other area) to create this power move. It requires a little bit of coordination, but the payoffs are worth the trouble.

Magneto

The Best To Protect The Punisher In Turret Mode

  • Blocks incoming projectiles and then shoots them back.
  • Can Hard-Stun targets, can Shield self and Punisher.

Magneto, the Master of Magnetism, is ranged Vanguard. With his incredibly useful kit, he is capable of handling an entire rival team by himself. Even when cornered, Magneto can disperse his enemies using his Meteor M Ultimate ability, which creates one of the most powerful AoE attacks in the entire game.

On the other hand, he is quite good at covering for other heroes’ weaknesses. For example, he can shield the Punisher to help him mitigate damage, and block incoming projectiles from enemies like Hawkeye and Black Widow. He is a great choice to accompany the Punisher on the field.

4

Hulk

A Difficult-To-Ignore Meat Shield

  • Can suppress Ranged DPS aiming for the Punisher.
  • Can protect the Punisher while they hold a zone.

What’s better than having a huge green shield to protect the Punisher when he’s vulnerable to flankers while in Turret mode? Hulk is the right man (or men, to be precise) for the job, as he is one of the most resilient Vanguards in the Marvel Rivals roster. Capable of taking lots of damage before turning back to his Banner form, Hulk can also shield his allies using Indestructible Guard, a buff-like ability that grants mitigation to him and his nearby allies.

When ranged Duelists try to target the Punisher, they will have to go through Hulk first, since he will be a more tempting target than the guy in the turret. If melee Duelists like Winter Soldier, Magik, or Iron Fist approach him, Hulk can take them for a spin, intercepting them before they hurt Castle. It’s a good synergy to try, even more in Domination mode.

3

Captain America

His Shield Can Protect Castle From Incoming Fire

  • The fastest Vanguard
  • Buffs allies, can use his shield to protect Punisher.

Captain America is a powerful Vanguard that can switch between melee and ranged blows using his Shield, and can also use it to deflect incoming enemy fire. That’s just the thing the Punisher needs to prevent other Duelists from taking him down while he uses his deployable skills.

Additionally, Captain America can use his ultimate to buff his allies and grant them extra health and extra movement speed. This will allow Punisher to quickly reposition himself, and combined with his Final Judgement Ultimate, it can be lethal.

2

Rocket Raccoon

His Deployables Buff Castle’s Firepower

  • One of the best Strategists.
  • His Team-Up Ability and Deployables can buff Castle.

If there’s a good Strategist to have playing alongside The Punisher, it is Rocket Raccoon. His Team-Up ability (Ammo Invention) will grant Punisher extra firepower, fire rate, and infinite ammo. That by itself is enough to make him one of the best team members for Punisher.

But that’s not all. Rocket also has powerful healing, more buffs in his pocket, and an assortment of annoying skills that will drive any rival team mad as he supports Castle. When back-to-back alongside Winter Soldier, this trio becomes nearly unstoppable.

1

The Winter Soldier

Can Protect Punisher At Melee Range And Assist With His CC

  • Powerfull CC Kit and Execute Ultimate.
  • Can pin down targets for Punisher and protect him at melee range.

One of the Punisher’s main weaknesses is that he is nearly useless at melee range. That’s where the second pivot of Rocket Raccoon’s Team-Up ability comes into play. Using his powerful Rotterstern revolver and a bionic arm, the Winter Soldier is a strong Duelist that can alternate between ranged and melee combat to suppress his enemies.

The Punisher couldn’t ask for a better partner to watch his back as he deploys his Culling Turret, or a better companion when it’s time to chase down fleeing foes. With his execution/reset mechanic, the Winter Soldier can make sure no one escapes punishment.
