Titles are one way of standing out in Helldivers 2. They announce your current rank from the bottom-left corner, just below your name. They are also how you brag about your current progression when playing with friends.
However, new players are likely to be completely unaware of how to unlock new titles and that they already have new statuses to equip in Helldivers 2. Here is how you earn some bragging rights in the ongoing galactic war.

Updated December 20, 2024, by Saqib Mansoor: More Premium Warbonds have been released to add more player titles and ranks. The Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover also marks the first time unique titles were released exclusively for the Superstore.

There are a total of 28 titles available right now, including the default rank you start with, and another exclusive to the Super Citizen Edition in Helldivers 2. Owners of the “Super” edition can equip their shiny, gold “Super Citizen” status from the get-go.
The remaining titles, however, only unlock after every five levels, increasing to intervals of 10 after reaching level 50.

Viper Commandos marks an important point in the evolution of Warbonds in Helldivers 2. You can now unlock new titles by purchasing Warbonds with Super Credits, the premium in-game currency that can be farmed for free or purchased with real-world money. Warbonds do not expire, so you can stick to grinding Super Credits and spend only on the best Warbonds in Helldivers 2.
How to Change Titles in Helldivers 2
You can only change titles on your ship. Interact with the Armory to open your character customization screen. Then, open the Character tab and select Title at the bottom. You will now be able to see all available statuses unlocked so far in Helldivers 2. Choose any status and hit the Equip button to show off your new status to your teammates.
Titles/Ranks are purely cosmetic and do not affect your gameplay. They are only viewable to other players in your party, similar to when you rename your Superdestroyer.
What’s the Max Level in Helldivers 2?
The maximum level cap is set to level 150 with the release of Patch 01.000.200, requiring you to spend a lot of time liberating planets in Helldivers 2. That progression effort can feel a bit underwhelming, since you unlock almost everything available (new weapons, stratagems, armor, etc.) at around level 20. There are only new titles to unlock after that until you hit level 150.
Helldivers 2 continues to evolve with each update. The Illuminate have finally revealed themselves following the Omens of Tyranny update. The highly advanced squid-like aliens are now the third (purple) enemy faction you must beat in the ongoing galactic war. Melee weapons have also been added, and the long-rumored FRV vehicle has driven out of the shadows to see the light of day. 2025 likely has more surprises in wait. Who knows, maybe the Killzone 2 crossover will initiate another collaboration for the community.
