Overwatch 2 Players Hopeful for Possible PvE News After Blizzard Rehire

Overwatch 2 fans who have a soft spot for its past PvE modes speculate about a possible return of co-op after a recent rehire by Blizzard.

Blizzard recently released a Director’s Take blog going over various aspects of Season 14, notably Hazard’s addition to the hero roster. According to Blizzard, Hazard has a 55-56% win rate across all ranks on PC. When compared to PC, Hazard players on console saw a 3-4% lower rate, which Blizzard attributes to his leap ability. The Overwatch 2 Tank hero has an improved win rate from his trial period in which he was at less than 50%, especially in Masters+ ranks where his success dropped below 47%. To increase this, Blizzard adjusted consistency with Bonespur, strengthened his Spike Guard, and buffed his Vault passive.

Overwatch 2 Shares Impressive Hazard Season 14 Stats

Continuing to adjust Hazard through hotfixes, Blizzard has stated that it reduced his Ultimate ability charge rate. This change makes it slower for players to earn Downpour, but it doesn’t reduce Hazard’s effectiveness or survivability according to Blizzard’s stats. While some Overwatch 2 heroes are released in an unbalanced state that results in them feeling overpowered, this developer update may reassure fans who are skeptical of fresh faces on the roster. The announcement doesn’t mention Hazard’s Jagged Wall, which some players have spotted issues with. According to some players, Hazard can one-shot enemies with a well-placed Jagged Wall.

Considering Blizzard mentions a player’s ability to aim after using Hazard’s leap, the developer may improve this as it has with Winston in the past. As Blizzard continues to update Overwatch 2, any remaining issues with Hazard and the other heroes may be fixed in a future patch.
