Winter Wonderland is Overwatch 2’s Christmas event, often marked with activities, game modes, and cosmetics. This year, Overwatch 2 is giving away tons of Winter Wonterland rewards via in-game challenges, which can be completed by playing normal matches and returning holiday favorites like Mei’s Snowball Offensive and Freezethaw Elimination.

Overwatch 2’s 6v6 Test Queues Explained

Overwatch 2’s new experimental 6v6 tests are a way for Blizzard to see if fans want the gameplay format of its predecessor back.

However, Overwatch 2 players can pick up even more holiday-themed cosmetics without even logging into the game. From now January 7, fans who watch 15 hours of any Overwatch 2 streamers on Twitch can earn 10 different Winter Wonderland-themed cosmetics at regular intervals throughout the period, including three Epic skins: Ugly Sweater: 76, Gingerbread Ana, and Reindeer Orisa. With an Overwatch Coin value amounting to over $30, players won’t want to miss out on these freebies.

How to Get Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland Twitch Drops

  • Connect one’s Twitch and Battle.net accounts, then watch any Overwatch 2 streamers from now through January 7, 11:58 AM PST, to earn the following cosmetics:
    • 2 hours: Cozy Snowglobe spray
    • 3 hours: Cozy Reindeer namecard
    • 4 hours: Winter Chic Widowmaker player icon
    • 6 hours: Spider Chic weapon charm
    • 7 hours: Shaken Snowglobe spray
    • 8 hours: Cozy Cassidy player icon
    • 9 hours: Winter Chic Widowmaker namecard
    • 11 hours: Ugly Sweater Soldier: 76 Epic skin

This is the largest Twitch Drop campaign Overwatch 2 has ever held. Among the rewards, Ugly Sweater: 76 and Gingerbread Ana are old Overwatch 1 skins, while Reindeer Orisa was released during the first year of Overwatch 2, so fans may already have some of them. That said, the sprays, namecards, and other cosmetics in this campaign are new ones that match Merry Marionette Echo, Cozy Cassidy, and Winter Chic Widowmaker – the three Legendary skins that are available in Overwatch 2 via Winter Wonderland challenges right now.

The Avatar: The Last Airbender event is also live in Overwatch 2 until December 30, giving players over a week to earn even more cosmetic rewards, including the Epic Katara Mei skin. Combined with the Legendary Casual Hanzo skin also available from the Winter Wonderland challenges, Overwatch 2 fans can get a whopping eight skins – half of which are Legendary – completely free for the holidays.

Overwatch 2 is also running the first of its 6v6 gameplay experiments at the moment, with the current 2-2-2 Role Queue team composition running until January 7. The second experiment, Min 1, Max 3, is currently planned from January 21 through February 4, so fans should have ample opportunity to show off their new skins to plenty of players during these tests.
