Marvel Rivals Fans Have Genius Idea for Wolverine and Gambit Team-Up Ability
Marvel Rivals fans agree that one potential team-up ability is a must if fan favorite mutant Gambit is ever added to the popular hero-shooter game.
While the ultimate move gives players an easy way to rack up kills, many players facing off against Jeff feel it’s unfairly powerful, and for some, it’s ruining the fun factor of Marvel Rivals. One big complaint centers around Jeff’s ultimate ability’s hitbox, as its graphical representation creates a whirlpool on the ground, but the ability actually creates an invisible cylinder that can suck in opponents flying in the sky above it — a feature that some players would like NetEase Games to change. While ultimate abilities are intended to be powerful enough to shift momentum to one team’s favor, Jeff’s also leaves opposing players unable to do anything for several seconds, and they’re not amused.
Jeff’s Ultimate is Still Ruining Marvel Rivals Fans’ Experiences
Some players have offered fresh suggestions that could help to stop Jeff’s ultimate ability‘s unfairly devastating effects. One player has suggested forcing Jeff to remain larger after activating the ability, making it harder for him to avoid incoming ranged attacks. Another suggested a stacking debuff that would decrease Jeff’s movement speed cumulatively for every opponent that he’s carrying inside of him.
Since even Marvel Rivals characters who can fly are having big problems avoiding the pull of Jeff’s ultimate, some skilled players have been hard at work developing counter-strategies using a number of different heroes on the roster. One trick that’s been growing in popularity is to have one Jeff interrupt the other Jeff’s ultimate, swallowing both the other shark and the teammates inside that shark, then spitting those teammates to safety. While there are a number of ways to avoid or interrupt the ultimate, one effective way to avoid losing multiple team members to it is to use Cloak’s Dark Teleportation ability to phase them into the Darkforce Dimension, safe from the effects of enemy attacks.
