Gege Akutami Might Have Teased A Sequel To Jujutsu Kaisen
Judging from his words, it is obvious that Gege Akutami is working on a new project. So, the Jujutsu Kaisen author won’t be taking a break for too long, as he wants to get back to drawing more manga.
Gege Akutami is working on a new project, but it is unclear whether it will be a sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen. Or if it will be a different manga series altogether. Considering the finale of Jujutsu Kaisen, there is a chance for a sequel. However, most manga authors do not want to rest on their laurels and want to create something new.
Gege Akutami is not the only famous manga author working on a project. Horikoshi Kohei, the mangaka of My Hero Academia, also announced that he is working on a new project. In both cases, fans will have to wait to learn what the two authors have in store.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s 2025 Jump Festa Announcements

Jujutsu Kaisen revealed a visual for its upcoming Culling Game arc, featuring Itadori Yuri, the main protagonist of the series. However, they did not disclose a release date or window for the anime’s third season. Jujutsu Kaisen also announced a new compilation film that covers the Hidden Inventory arc. A new visual was also released that had Gojo Satoru and Suguru Geto at the center. The compilation film is set to release on May 30th, 2025.
MAPPA will certainly make some additions to the film which will improve the quality altogether. Since the compilation film is releasing in 2025, the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen will not air in 2025. Fans can expect it to premiere in early 2026 unless MAPPA speeds up the production process.
