However, people who don’t own the DLCs won’t be able to cook recipes from it. The player will be unable to pick up any ingredients from the expansion all together. One of the easier recipes that can be made for quick coins in The Storybook Vale is Cape Gooseberry Sour Fondue. With only needing two ingredients, the player can quickly make this meal and enjoy the benefits it provides. An important note is that the player will need The Storybook Vale DLC to make this meal. The ingredients cannot be given to the player by someone who does have the DLC. Below, you’ll find the ingredients needed to make the dish and where to find them.

  • Cape Gooseberry x1 – The first ingredient is Cape Gooseberry which can be foraged from within The Bind region. No other way is possible to obtain this ingredient. This ingredient is also found as a fruit and sells for 55-Star Coins and restores 130 Energy to the player if they choose to eat a few while they make their meal.
  • Sour Berries x1 – The second ingredient is Sour Berries, and they can also be found within The Bind. However, this ingredient, which is a fruit, can be foraged from a Sour Berry Tree. Harvesting from the Sour Berry Tree awards the player three sour berries. It will also take 30 minutes for more Sour Berries to grow once the tree is harvested. If the player wishes to eat the Sour Berries, it restores 400 Energy and sells for 40-Star coins at Goofy’s stall.

After gathering all the ingredients, the player has to head toward a cooking station. Here, the player can combine all the ingredients into the cooking pot and add coal to cook the meal. Upon cooking, the player will unlock the Cape Gooseberry Sour Fondue meal. This meal is found under the Dessert tab and is considered a two-star meal. This dessert sells for 123-Star Coins, and while that is a small number of coins, the player can stockpile the ingredients and sell a mass quantity to Goofy’s Stall to make a small profit. Upon consuming the meal, the player will receive 951 Energy, giving the player a good jolt of energy as well.
