Blast Core is one of the trickier crafting resources to track down in Lego Fortnite Odyssey, not just because it’s rare, but because it’s difficult to get without losing your life (and your backpack in the process).

If you’re looking for Marble or Marble Slabs in Lego Fortnite Odyssey, here’s what you need to know.
Fear not, Lego explorer, as you’ve come to the right place to find out how to track down Blast Core and a few tips and tricks for ensuring you stay alive, or at least don’t have as far to run back to retrieve your backpack.
Updated December 21, 2024: We’ve updated this guide to reflect the Odyssey update that changed where Blasters can be found.
How To Get Blast Core
Blast Core is obtained by defeating Blasters. Similar to Rollers and Sand Rollers, these little crab critters need to be defeated to get Blast Core, but they’re far more dangerous than the other variants.
After the Odyssey update, Blasters can be found in the Dry Valley lurking around the overworld or found in any cave in any of the biomes. This means you can now get Blastcore much earlier in your playthrough by finding Blasters in caves in the Grasslands with much less risk.
The Dry Valley desert landscape has more difficult enemies to contend with, as well as Lava Caves that are particularly dangerous, not only because of the intense heat but also because they are full of skeletons that will throw dynamite at you. We recommend simply using Grasslands caves to farm Blast Core now.
Much like the other Rollers, Blasters hide in the ground until approached, and you can spot them by identifying the twitching black rocky mounds with glowing embers on top.
There’s also a chance of finding Blast Core by looting treasure chests.
How To Defeat Blasters
If you’re in the Drylands, you should prepare yourself accordingly, such as equipping a Cool-Headed Charm especially when delving in Lava Caves. You should also ensure your health is full, and take decent equipment and consumables with you.
By now, you should be used to the sort of attacks that these enemy types will throw at you, such as rolling at you, throwing projectiles, and generally being a nuisance. Blasters up the ante because they can also explode, taking you out with them.
You’ll need to either defeat them quickly or try to stay out of range of the blast zone by using ranged weapons or letting your Explorer NPC do most of the heavy lifting.
One thing we’ve found is that Blasters, much like Rollers, love a good Bone.
Drop a Bone on the ground nearby and they will scurry out to investigate and eat it, giving you the opportunity to attack them while they’re distracted.
