Bandai Namco has revealed their upcoming strategy simulation title, Kingdom: Hadou, which is scheduled to host a closed beta test for both Android and iOS in Japan during mid-to-late January 2025. Developed by Koei Tecmo, the game is based on the Kingdom series. Applications for the beta test are now open until January 2, 2025.

Kingdom: Hadou is a hyper-authentic strategy simulation game set in the thrilling world of Kingdom. In this game, you step into the role of a General, mastering diverse battlefield landscapes, including forests and hills. You can use the unique Warlords from the Kingdom anime series, to strategize and win against your enemies.
The gameplay looks enjoyable and engaging, allowing you to team up with other players fighting for the same army and advancing together. You can enjoy competing to gain authority over castles and forts across diverse maps while growing your army. I don’t know about you, but I will grind my way to become the Taishogun of the Land, once the game launches.
I am looking forward to battles on iconic battlefields from the anime, like the Dakan Plains and Hangu Pass, brought to life as engaging 3D maps. The game also features stunning characters like Shin, Kyou Kai, Karyo Ten, and more, unveiled at the Jump Festa 2025. However, the best part of the game for me will be the large-scale 30v30 Siege Battles, which will take place in castles and fortresses across the country. I am also excited to try out the Siege Towers.
The game is scheduled to launch a closed beta test, with recruitment available now
The game is getting ready for a closed-beta test scheduled for mid-to-late January next year. That being said, the devs have started the recruitment process for the test, and here’s an overview:
- Application period: You can now apply for the test, which will be open till January 2, 2025.
- Process: To apply, you have to fill in the required information on the application form.
- Number of Applicants: Only 5,000 players will be selected for this test.
- Supported system: This beta test will be available for Android and iOS only.
Do note that the recruitment period may change or close early without prior notice, so apply soon if you are interested in the game. The exact dates for the CBT are yet to be announced. Additionally, if the number of applicants exceeds the 5,000 limit, you will be selected through a lottery system.
