Guitar Hero 2 Player 100 Percents All 74 Songs With Permadeath

Summary

  • All these years later, and Guitar Hero is still a popular game, particularly among streamers attempting various challenges.
  • One streamer took it upon themselves to try and beat every Guitar Hero 2 song on Permadeath mode.
  • After eight hours of streaming, they completed all 74 songs, making it look easy in the process.

If you thought that Soulsborne players were absolute masochists for finding all sorts of ways to complete the games, including with a dancepad or with just voice commands, then you clearly have not met Guitar Hero experts.

Nothing is more Christmassy to me than getting yelled at for rocking too hard

One brave streamer took it upon themselves to try and complete all of Guitar Hero 2’s songs on Permadeath mode. And after 15 attempts and a grand total of eight-plus hours of streaming, they rocked out to absolute perfection.

Our Fingers Hurt Just Thinking Of It

First and foremost, what is Permadeath mode?

It requires a modded Xbox 360, and it begins with a brand-new save file. The player must hit every note in every song on the first try. There are 74 songs and a grand total of 67,804 notes. If you miss a note, then the save will reset, meaning you’re back to square one.

Yet, somehow streamer Acai managed to make it all look possible. Granted, they used a modded guitar and the “strum limit” of Jordan was removed to make things possible. However, everything else they did was just pure skill.

With the run fully complete, they’ve turned their attention to a behind-the-scenes video showcasing just how it all came to be. That video is coming “very soon.” Either way, shoutout to Acai for the feat. It’s hard enough to get through these songs on anything beyond Easy, and yet they made Permadeath look like a walk in the park.
