Fallen Fortress Trial Puzzle Solution In Disney Dreamlight Valley

As you explore the Storybook Vale in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll encounter a variety of trials and obstacles in your path. Each one offers the opportunity for growth and exploration within pockets of space in the village. Based on your favorite fairy tales and legends, these trials must be completed to reach the Mistress of all Evil.

The Fallen Fortress features tales of knights and ferocious monsters that they faced. We’ll show you how to solve the puzzle and heal the corruption within the Fairy Tale Trial so you can get one step closer to confronting Maleficent in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Enter The Fallen Fortress Fairy Tale Trial

To enter the Fairy Tale Fortress, you’ll need to spend 5,000 Storybook Magic to open the way, then complete the Fallen Fortress quest. Inside, you’ll find a locked door and two suits of armor facing in different directions.

Interact with them so that they both face outward and the door will open. Head inside and make your way down the stairs to find three more suits of armor facing each other. Each one is missing a key element, and you’ll need to find them to solve the puzzle.

There’s a path blocked by bubbly mushrooms off to the side, which is inaccessible until you progress further.

Where To Find The Knight’s Helmet

One knight is missing a helmet, and you’ll need to get to it. Head into the eastern wing of the castle to find a winding hallway and a well in the center. Use your royal tools to circle around it and descend a staircase.

The door to the well is locked, so enter the next open room and use your Royal Net on the spinning wheel to unlock it. Enter the room with the well and use your Royal Fishing Rod to retrieve the Knight’s Helm from the golden orange bubbles.

Where To Find The Knight’s Shield

To the west of the main chamber, use your Royal Net to open a door into a chamber full of armor. There are five along the walls on each side, and one at the front and back, but not all of them face the same direction.

Interact with the armor to ensure each one faces the center of the room to unlock the secret passage at the back of the chamber. Open the treasure chest here to retrieve the Knight’s Shield for the main room.

Where To Find The Knight’s Flag

To get the final piece of the puzzle solution, clear away the inkies on the western side of the main chamber. Use your Royal Pickaxe to break the petrified stone and wood in front of the short staircase, the ascend to retrieve the Knight’s Flag.

With the final piece in your inventory, return to the main chamber and give each of the knights their missing equipment. Then, interact with each of them to turn them around so they can face their enemies!

The door at the back of the chamber will open, allowing you to find the source of corruption within the trial and purify it. You’ll be one step closer to facing Maleficent, and Flynn will be ready to help every step of the way.
