Built on the central character’s life, Alisa Mikhailovna “Alya” Kujou, the story presents a rather chaotic but subtle love story between Alya and her irritatingly laidback classmate, Masachika Kuze.

While the half-Russian blonde is known for her flawless looks, personality, and intelligence, nothing intrigues her more than Kuze’s unmotivated lifestyle. Interest soon becomes admiration on Alya’s part to the point where she starts expressing her affection for Kuze in Russian. However, there is something Alya could not have known— Kuze understands Russian rather fluently, due to a childhood friendship.

Eager to help him fulfill his harem simulation, Rin takes on multiple personalities, much to Eiji’s entertainment. As their interaction deepens, Rin finds herself trying to win Eiji’s heart.

The Fable

One of the year’s hidden gems with untapped potential, The Fable does its very best impression of humor and organized crime through its central character, Fable, the infamous legendary assassin, who can kill any man within six seconds. Even after being in the business for six years, Fable’s boss still fears that his employee’s prowess has started to attract unwanted attention from law enforcement.

As a result, Fable must now hide his identity in Osaka as a sort of holiday. Now, accompanied by a driver who doubles as his sister, Fable is looking forward to this holiday until things start to look grim when he is targeted by the Osaka mafia for being too much of a threat.

The Duke of Death and His Maid Season 3

The third season of The Duke of Death and His Maid returned on a rather positive note, with the young duke no longer a man of solitude despite the lethality of his curse. Now surrounded by loved ones like his siblings Viola and Walter, the loyal butler Rob, and the witches Cuff and Zain, the Duke’s eye still carries romantic weight only for his flirty and daring maid, Alice Lendrott.

Having already discovered the identity of the witch responsible for cursing the Duke, thanks to Zain’s magic, the Duke and Alice’shope of lifting the curse grows even stronger. However, with powers that cause even other witches to act in fear, the villain is looking like an impossible obstacle.

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines details the funny life of the self-proclaimed background character, Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a first-year high school student who spends a good portion of his time secretly wondering what it would be like for his life to be turned into a love story.

Not only does Nukumizu not get his secret wish, but he, unfortunately, finds himself in an unusual spotlight after witnessing the popular Anna get rejected by her childhood friend. Even worse for Nukumizu, he by extension also finds himself involved in the love lives of two other girls, Lemon Yakishio and Chika Komari, with no idea what to do.

The Dangers In My Heart Season 2

Another mildly anticipated comedy return for the year, the second season of The Dangers In My Heart follows Kyoutarou Ichikawa and Anna Yamada as they both reunited after eventful winter breaks. The pair returns to school with their bond even stronger than in the prequel season.

As both continue to grow differently in their interests and continue to spend time together beyond school, both Kyoutarou and Anna soon realize just how deeply they feel about each other. However, the pair also recognize that, as with time, their relationship is bound to change and with that, they must come to decide the way forward for their close relationship.

Delicious In Dungeon

A surprisingly good addition to the year’s Winter anime season, Delicious In Dungeon details the adventures of the central character, Laios Touden, and his party as he leads them through what seems like an endless dungeon. Within this dungeon, explorers can sometimes be resurrected through the use of advanced magic, allowing explorers to learn from their mistakes within the dungeon.

However, things go awry for Laios when his sister, Falin, is eaten by a powerful dragon, but not before she sends her brother and everyone else to the beginning of the dungeon. Having seemingly lost his sister, Laios resolves to fight his way through the dungeon to rescue his sister. Now back at the beginning, Laios and his party soon realize that hunger may be the first thing that kills them.

A member of the 2024’s elite bracket for projects of the year, Dandadan made its debut as one of the most anticipated and hyped shows for the year, even though it only just debuted this Fall season. A qualitative mix of humor, action, and every kind of the occultic and the extra-terrestrial, the series revolves around the central characters, Momo Ayase, a firm believer in the existence of the occultic who can not comprehend the existence of aliens, and Ken ‘Okarun’ Takakura, a staunch believer of finding UFOs who also can not understand the concept of spiritual entities.

The story turns on its head after both characters meet and somehow end up in a bet to convince the other of each other’s beliefs. Turns out, they are both right, and the pair, through a series of supernatural and extra-terrestrial misadventures form an intimate relationship even more intense than the world around them.

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 3

MyAnimeList Score: 8.37

With a third straight season of humor and running gags, Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Returned in the Spring anime season with its bright-eyed protagonist, Kazuma Satou, and his allies, in Aqua; the goddess, Megumin; the wizard, and Lalatina Ford; the crusader. Finally returning home after the incident in the Crimson Demon village, the party is a step closer to fulfilling their objective— eliminating the Demon King and his subjects.

The one task Kazuma is not exactly eager to complete. While Kazuma and his are still dillydallying in an attempt to waste as much time, they receive an invitation from a princess who claims to be interested in their heroic deeds. With only Lalatina against accepting the invitation, the invitation signifies the start of another unpredictable adventure for Kazuma and his party.
