World of Warcraft has revealed some of the highlights from the Trading Post catalog for January 2025, including the Brilliant Sunburst Peafowl mount, the Wind-Up Wuffi pet, and an arsenal of clockwork transmogs for the free reward. These items and more will be available at the World of Warcraft Trading Post starting January 1.
The Trading Post is a feature World of Warcraft added in Dragonflight that features a rotating stock of cosmetic items purchased with Trader’s Tender, a currency earned by completing tasks from the monthly Traveler’s Log. Typically, World of Warcraft reveals some or all of a month’s Trading Post catalog in the last days of the previous months.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, is adding a brand-new type of Warbands customization option that fans have wanted for a while.
However, with the holiday season around the corner, World of Warcraft has decided to reveal the highlights of January’s Trading Post catalog well in advance. Many of these items, such as the Steam-Powered Golden Cloak, Green Clockwork Attire, and Steamwheedle Artifact Extractor, match the Goblin theme of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 ahead of its launch, likely in February. Even the month’s bonus reward – the Green Clockwork Contraptions Collection – is an arsenal of steampunk gear players can earn by filling out their Traveler’s Log for January.
World of Warcraft Trading Post Highlights (January 2025)
- Arsenal: Green Clockwork Contraption Collection (Back, Two-Hand Mace, Fist, Gun, Shield)
- Free Reward for completing the Traveler’s Log in January
- Brilliant Sunburst Peafowl (Skyriding Mount)
- Green Clockwork Attire (Head, Shoulder, Chest, Waist, Legs, Feet, Wrist, Hand, Back)
- Golden Clockwork Power Hammer (Two-Hand Mace)
- Wind-Up Wuffi (Pet)
- Steam-Powered Golden Cloak (Back)
- Steamwheedle Artifact Extractor (Off-Hand)
This is only a fraction of the items that will be available at the Trading Post in January 2025. While Blizzard had previously revealed the catalogs in their entirety before, it began a new precedent in December in which it only showed a few of the major items. Fans will have to wait until the inventory rotates in January to see the full list and if any of the previously leaked World of Warcraft Trading Post items appear within it.
Players should have no trouble getting their Trader’s Tender stipends in January. World of Warcraft’s Feast of Winter Veil and 20th-anniversary events will both still be active for most of the first week of the month, with the former running through January 5 and the latter January 6. Beyond that, the Darkmoon Faire takes place from January 5 until January 12, the Turbulent Timeways Timewalking event is expected to run from January 7 until January 25th, and the Lunar Festival starts on January 28, all of which will likely contribute to the Traveler’s Log.
That said, February 2025 marks the second anniversary of the feature, so World of Warcraft is bringing back several transmogs, mounts, pets, toys, and monthly rewards to celebrate. Fans will be able to collect an extra 500 Trader’s Tender that month, but they may still wish to budget some of this month’s currency for a February shopping spree.
